I almost have a clear side in the front bedroom! \o/

I just need to sort and store some more stuff, and do a run to the tip and then it's more or less sorted! I also need to do a charity shop run, but there's less stuff needs to go there than the tip, so it's that that is the priority.

I am also thinking about getting rid of the one chest of drawers and the bedside cabinet, as there is entirely too much furniture in that room (one of its many problems). I don't have a use for the cabinet, and the chest of drawers got water damaged, so it's not really useable any more.

There is some shelving as well that mum wanted rid of, but it needs the contents going through first. Some of it can and will be stored, since I now have room for that, and the rest can be dealt with accordingly.

There's also a sideboard, and I keep swinging between keeping it or not. I sense probably not, eventually, as I have no use for it, and I don't think it even got properly used as a sideboard ever. But I know it was made in the furniture factory where my dad used to work, so I am sort of sentimental about it, even though I think y'all know how I feel about my dad at this point. But I've got time to think about it, as I need to tackle other stuff around it first.

(I feel like I should have been tagging these posts, so I can look through them all at a later date, but I don't know what to name them, sigh).

But yeah, I'm definitely feeling really positive about this now, even though I've been grossly unhappy with the circumstances that forced it to happen. I may explain about that at some point in the future, or I may not, I don't know (and you probably don't want to hear it anyway).

~

In other news, I have been playing with some paint markers I impulse bought a couple of months ago!

About a year ago, I made a small sketchbook from kraft card after being influenced by an artist I'd discovered who drew in toned sketchbooks. I used it, like, twice, and then forgot about it.

Then it was Back to School sales in late August, and I impulse bought some Sharpie paint pens (Creative Markers; bullet tips), because I was curious about them, and I knew I would be less precious about them than Poscas, even though they cost nearly as much as a set of Poscas. ANYWAY.

I thought they'd look good on the kraft card, and I was right! So I've just been messing about making patterns and stuff, and really enjoying it! Which is nice. It feels like I haven't done a whole lot of drawing this year, and I've missed it. I think, currently, I prefer paint pens over actual paint, but maybe I'll get back into painting once I have more space in which to do it. Or maybe I won't! WHO KNOWS.

Anyway, I have been drawing and feeling good about it, and I am probably going to do some more drawing, and then I might finally upload stuff to my sketchblog after best part of a year. Again, WHO KNOWS? IT MYSTERY.
# My local bus company has changed the bus times and they are ridiculous. I won't rant about it here because it's boring, but suffice to say, nobody I know is happy about it.

# My sister in law took me to Accrington last week for a day out. It isn't particularly the most exciting place in the world, but I had never been, and all we were going for was mooching around the charity shops. So it did us fine for that, and we were home in time for my nephew coming home from school.

I got belated birthday cards, and also some money from them, which I was not expecting. I have finally bought Susan Briscoe's Boro book with some it, and I am maybe going to spend some of the rest on some more felting supplies*.

(*I had a bit of a breakthrough with that, yay! More below).

# So yeah, felting. I was feeling a bit like I'd wasted my money on the kit I bought because I did a bit and then didn't use it any more. But it was partly because I didn't really know what I was doing. Then I watched a video by Sarah Homfrey, where she was talking about slow stitching spirals, and I was like, "I like circles, let's just make loads of felt circles until I feel like I have the hang of this some more!" And so that is what I've been doing!

Granted, I haven't been doing many, because I got distracted by slow stitching some spirals, and also a pattern on a bigger piece of cloth, but I did some and that's what counts!

# I also did some more sorting in the front bedroom, and found an absolute stash of variegated threads (47 skeins!) that I didn't know existed. I felt bad separating them from the embroidery they were with, but I am never going to do it, and at least they'll get used this way. (Also the needle in with them was extremely rusted, so it's safe to say they'd been sitting there for at least twenty years, heh).

And I found three eight inch hoops, one of which was on the aforementioned embroidery, so that was good/a nice surprise.

# I did a bunch of scanning that has been piling up since November last year (oops), so there will be some sketchblog updates soon! Some of it is embroideries I have done, and I am thinking about making prints from some of them. I don't know if anyone will be interested in that, but given it's over a year since I put anything in my shop, at least it's something to update there with?

# I think this is all I have to say for now, so I shall leave this entry here and go and do something else instead!

I have updated my sketchblog with some autoposts for ~a week and a half - that will start from Tuesday. I hadn't updated since September! But that was when I had my last holiday from work, so that sort of makes sense.

But also I seem to have been drawing a lot, but not posting a lot of it. Mainly because it either feels like more of the same (and therefore not imaginative*), or I didn't think it was good enough to post.

I've also updated my Redbubble shop with one (1) new design. I did it yesterday, and I'm really pleased with how it came out, although now I wish I hadn't drawn it on layout paper, but such are the regrets of an artist, I guess.

~

In other news, my tablet arrived on the day it was meant to, and it works like a dream. It is smaller than I thought, but I am bad at imagining screen dimensions at the best of times.

I've watched a few streams on it, and the only times it buffered were because of problems on the streamer's end and not mine! \o/ which is categorically not what used to happen with the old one.

I am looking forward to being able to use it to update - for example - my ko-fi gallery, and possibly even my sketchblog!

~

*this is my brain being an ass, btw.
(Title is a paraphrased quote from a Peter Draws video, because I've been watching him all week. And it's true I do like pens. I like them a lot).

Anyway! Got my first covid vaccination on Thursday, and it all went fine! The worst part was a sore arm that started about an hour afterwards, but I was expecting that. I wasn't expecting sore lymph nodes, but that was a thing that happened, and they are still sore now. But as long as my immune system is doing its job, I don't mind. Also, no matter how irritating this may be, it's better than the alternative. WAY BETTER.

I also investigated the new Aldi after my vaccination. It was smaller than I was expecting, which is weird because it's not as small as Small Aldi in Burnley, yet it looks massive from the outside (I suppose it's like our Lidl, in that a lot of that space is actually warehouse). I spent less time in there than I thought I would, and so missed my bus home by mere minutes, and then had almost an hour to wait for the next one (because our bus timetable is sensible like that! [/sarcasm] ). So I walked about halfway home, and then caught the bus the rest of the way.

I'm going to bullet point other stuff, because I can't think how segue nicely between the topics, so:

1. I have updated my Redbubble for the first time in four years! Here is a link!

I got rid of all the older stuff and put in some of the newer things I've been doing. I did it out of curiosity, as I want to see how it does versus my old stuff, which never sold. I'm also going to make more of an effort to update it more frequently.

(I am still selling my own prints, but like I say, the RB update is kind of an experiment, and also they sell sizes I can't print/things I can't make, so there's that as well).

2. Here is my surprise birthday present! I've been whiffling about this for years (primarily because I've never spent £18 on a pen before), but I decided it would be a special present for my birthday. You may have already seen this if you follow my twitter, in which case it's not that much of a surprise.

here is a pic of this expensive (for me) pen! )

3. I meant to link this when she started, but Ellen from Outside Xtra has been playing Dark Souls for the very first time, with help from Luke! Here's the first episode, feat shenanigans with the Taurus Demon! (She has, at the time of writing, just beaten the Capra Demon, meaning she is currently at the same point that I got to before I decided to give up).

4. I've been drawing a whole bunch for the past week, in part thanks to randomly discovering Peter Draws (as previously noted), and trying figure out how he draws. I don't know if what I'm doing is any good, but I'm enjoying doing it, and that's what counts! (Also as much as getting fountain pen ink all over my hands annoys me*, I kind of like that, too?)

Some of the things I've drawn will be going up on my sketchblog next week, so \o/ check that out if you're interested.

5. I have nothing else to say (that I can think of), so I will finish this here!

~

*I don't like having "gunk" on my hands, but at least ink is not very gunky as substances go. Unless it's been sitting around becoming gunky, as it sometimes does, in which case, ewwwww. Do Not Want.

1. I'm sitting on my hands not to buy new pens/inks, EXCEPT I do technically have £14 of Xmas money left over, so I could if I wanted to!

I mean, I can't afford one of the fountain pens I want, but there's other things I want besides those. Things I have been wanting longer!

2. I am this close to finishing Royal Assassin! I tried to get it done last night, but my brain was just like, nope!, so I didn't. I've got like, forty pages? If that? Having a bit of déjà vu again with the current situation Fitz has found himself in so again, wondered if I had a look while mum was reading it.

Assassin's Quest is EVEN LONGER! *cries*

3. I scanned some stuff I have been doing recently! I have updated my sketchblog, and it will start auto-updating from there for a couple of weeks or so (hopefully by which time I will have done some more stuff!)

I want to make some prints of some of the things (and some older things), but need to do some tests first. I'm sure my printer can handle it, but it's always good to do a trial run.

4. I am debating making a patreon.

I used to have one, but I never launched it because I felt like I didn't deserve it, so I eventually deleted it. I am a bit leery about it because of how the owners have treated smaller creators in the past, and also because I don't know if anyone will sign up to it. I know people like my work, but do they like it enough to give me money for it? I don't know.

I also don't know what I would do about patreon only stuff.

(I do also have a kofi page but I'm not really sure how that's supposed to work. I know when I picked it, I did because it seemed to be less pressure than a patreon but now I don't know! And also because they don't take anything from the money you receive, where patreon do).

5. I think I have finally figured out an acceptable (to me) way to make a zine! I know I have been going on about this for literal years at this point, and I keep not ending up with an end product (except for the time I did and then didn't put it up for sale because of crushing self-esteem problems). But this time I am determined!

I even figured out a way to do it without having to think about double-sided printing (which I did figure out, but that was months ago now, and I've forgotten what I learnt). So yay! Just got to put it all together and see if it works!

6. Hope you are all okay and looking after yourselves. And if you're not okay, I offer internet hugs, and I hope you feel a bit better soon.

# I bought a thick A6 notebook in Morrisons last week because I wanted it (story of my life). I went in again this week, there's two left, and they've been reduced even further. I thought about getting another one, but I have NO IDEA what I will use the first one for, so I didn't. But if I'd just waited a week!

# I'm going to make a concerted effort to learn some Afrikaans this year, since it is my sister in law's first language. I know a very small amount I've picked up off her, but I'd like to know more (because languages!)

# I'm also going to make more effort to improve my German and French skills, as I have more free time now, and it'd be nice if I could actually use my language skills instead of, well, not doing. And also because last night I tried playing New Leaf in German and I understood next to none of it. It reminded me a bit of when I wasn't so good with German and tried to play Tactics Advance (which I understand more of now because I've already beaten it in English, and it has a story, unlike New Leaf).

# Now wondering if The Zodiac Age will let me play in German if I change the PS4 language settings...As I know from watching videos that none of the voice acting is different, it's only the text that was translated.

# I've just found an article that opens with: "journal hoarding is real"

hashtag preaching to the choir, my friend

# talking of which, my sketchblog autoposts of stationery related stuff start today! If you're interested in that sort of thing!

I've got some more posts planned (and will be working on them this week! but they won't post for ages yet, as there's nearly two weeks' worth of posts in the queue. I'd kind of forgotten what it was like to have a buffer on the blog).

So! In case anyone is as interested in pictures of notebooks as I am (you should see my journal/stationery boards on pinterest), you will be pleased to know that, as of next week, there will be pictures of some of mine on my sketchblog, both used and unused.

And also my birthday stationery haul, which I bought on Wednesday. There was A LOT. And it used up my leftover birthday money, and I feel guilty about buying more notebooks when I already have a ton, but they were cute! I could not resist!

(This is one of those times where I want to join reddit again, just so I can talk to people on relevant communities (there is a journal community and they're not all pretentious so and sos!) but A: usernames are hard* and B: it's reddit)

(I have ALL THE TABS open right now, but I can't look at them as I have Stuff To Do).

I don't have anything else to say - really just wanted to update to say this because I don't know who among you here even follows my sketchblog anyway, but just in case you do: don't worry about the sudden genre change. I'm just trying to indulge my enthusiasm in something while I still feel enthusiastic and like doing something about it. Also there's going to be more stuff than notebooks in the future, like letter writing paper, and pens, and other stuff, but I have to figure out how to photograph it nicely first.

~

*I don't want a username for there related to either of the two I have right now and did I mention picking names is hard?
Morrisons don't sell tea strainers, but they do sell loose leaf Rooibos, what the heck. It's not really a problem; I can pick one up when I'm out tomorrow, but they sell other kitchen implements, so why not a gosh danged tea strainer.

(I went in to look at herbal teas and then was paralysed by indecision and also "why t f do these all have liquorice root in?!" (I don't like liquorice, so I'm hoping it doesn't notice if I do have a tea with it in, but who knows)).

~

I have given some thought to posting some pics of my stationery collection to my sketchblog. I did think about making an entirely new blog, but it's one way to keep that one updated, and oh gods did you know choosing names is hard! really hard!

I'd like to share stuff with people on somewhere that's easier to navigate than twitter (since finding past posts/images relies on me remembering what I wrote about them so I can search for them, or scrolling through my media tab, sigh). And my sketchblog is sitting around, doing nothing much these days.

Kind of relatedly: I have written in my diary every day, at least once per day, since the 15th of February. I have just started my new diary today, and already have at least seven books lined up to use next (which is good, as I have A LOT of them). I'm just writing what I've done for that day and how I am, and not putting any pressure on myself to do anything more than that. It's as boring as all get out, but who cares? It's for me and no-one else.

And it's good, because I'm writing! I wanted to be writing again, and now I am. Admittedly, it is non-fiction rather than fiction, but I will take it!

I keep forgetting to mention it here, but I have been updating my sketch blog with autoposts! And I'm going to be adding some more stuff today!

(Apologies if you already know this because you follow me on twitter).

Most of the posts are multi-image (for convenience), and it's stuff from the past year, and a bit beyond! (One of the things is an embroidered study I did of Van Gogh's Starry Night with Cypress Tree that I finished in 2015. So, yeah. Sometimes I just do things and then forget to upload them anywhere).

Also some hoops I ordered last week arrived today so now I can mount and photograph some of the stuff I've been doing recently \o/

~

I have got loads of Xmas presents for my nephew, and the best part is that all of it came to less than £15!

My sister in law said I don't need to buy presents for her and my brother, but I'm going to at least find them a little thing each. Even if it is something dumb, like a toy car for my brother (he likes cars A LOT) and...IDK what I would get for my sister in law, but I'm sure I could find something.

It's weird not having mum to buy for. I've seen things I would have got her this year, whereas I'd had a lot of trouble in past years. I also have seen quite a few things I would have bought for my dad, were he still around, so I guess it's just going to be like that this year!

~

I have been watching the cutscenes from The Zodiac Age version of FFXII on Youtube, because I own neither it nor a PS4, and I was bitten by the urge to replay, but that would mean dusting off the PS2 (literally), and I just couldn't be bothered, so I resorted to the internet instead!

The best part about this is that the soundtrack got remastered! And I didn't know! And, for the most part, it is a delight to my ears! (Obviously there's some stuff I haven't heard because the video I'm watching is literally just the cutscenes and maybe a boss battle here and there). Compare this to how I feel about the redone version of the Persona 2: Innocent Sin soundtrack (it's horrible and not as good as the original; same for FFIV, actually). I'm glad I like the remastered version, because it's one of my favourite game soundtracks.

In other video game news, I have finally remembered to download Delta Rune! I don't know if I will be able to get it to run via WINE or not. We will just have to see.

~

Anyway, I've got stuff I need to upload, so I'm going to go and do that!
I looked at zines on Etsy (following [personal profile] ruuger's suggestion that possibly I could sell copies of mine in my shop there). That was really interesting! And a whole section of Etsy I didn't even know about or thought existed!

Talking of which, I have a working prototype for mine!
picture under here )

~

In other news:

~ I set up a Big Cartel shop, for things I feel don't belong in my Etsy shop. There's going to be paintings, eventually, but right now, there's two very expensive things.

~ My new artblog is up and running, by the way! It's here, if you want to look.
(In case you're interested, I will crosspost the stuff from tumblr to here till we're up to date, but I don't know if I'll do the same from wordpress. We'll see).

~

Got to see my nephew today. He had a book with different animals in, and was going through, pointing to different ones and asking me if I liked them. And then there was the page with dinosaurs, and he said, "Do you like dinosaurs?"
I replied, "I love dinosaurs."

He made me read out all the names because obviously he doesn't know how to say them (he's three) (luckily they were ones I was familiar with or were easy to pronounce). He's pretty good at repeating multi-syllable words if you say them to him. He got Deinonychus after only hearing me say it once ♥

Just a quick post to say:

1. Here are some angels that I drew (more details on the post itself. Comments/crits/questions welcome!)

([livejournal.com profile] messiah_noire, the bottom one is the one I was on about before).

2. As far as yarnbending goes, I have nearly finished another hat (can't decide whether to make wrist warmers or a scarf to go with it), and I am making a rug for the house with some carpet wool. God only knows where it's going to go, though.

~ I need to scan some more stuff tomorrow, otherwise I am going to run out of stuff for the sketchblog. (I wrote this yesterday originally, and it's still valid now, because I totally fail at scanning).

~ I am now onto disc three of Lost Odyssey. I wish I could say I was surprised by the plot but, er, I read spoilers and remembered them and...there's several plot holes to begin with (the characters learn stuff, but don't share some of it with the player, ever). I'm going to stick with it, though. It has item crafting (with the weirdest items ever!*) and learning abilities from items. Which is kind of pretty much all I need to keep me happy in a game.

Plus I kind of want to be Seth when I grow up :3

~ I am actually going to dig out the record player and listen to my actual vinyl records at some point in the very near future. The only problem will be finding somewhere to put it where the cat will not try to catch the records as they revolve.

~ Now feeling guilty about not being a good moderator (i.e. not posting stuff, trying to get people to join, etc). Oh, who am I kidding, this is why I've never offered to moderate anything ever before. (And also because I thought I might get trigger happy with the ban hammer).

~ Also feeling guilty about not making art. I guess it might help if I actually knew what I wanted to do, and didn't feel so bad about colouring stuff on the computer.

~ Time to stop procrastinating and post this thing before it sits here for yet another night.

~*~

*No, seriously. A lot of them involve sticky tape, and I just imagine Kaim sitting there with a roll of sellotape, joining things together, and getting annoyed when the tape sticks to itself.

I have nearly finished my picture of Beth! \o/ I was going to post the sketch on my, er, sketch blog, but instead, you get speed sketches of my cat.

(I don't often speed sketch because a) the concept of speed is alien to me and b) they nearly always end up looking like dross. However, unless the cat is asleep (and she wasn't on this occasion*), I have to be quick).

I am also slooooowly working on that picture of Snow and Hope. So it will get finished, eventually. Maybe when I am forty (hopefully not!)

~*~

Three more bosses, and then I finish DDS2! Woop, woop!

~*~

Still not feeling amazing, but a little better.

Questions about tumblr:

1. Is it considered bad manners to reblog yourself? Not that I've really wanted to, but I just wondered. I also don't think it is when I see it happening, I just wanted to know was all.

1a. I think it's quite irritating when owners of communal blogs (for want of a better word; like people who run a "fuck yeah" page) advertise their personal blog and ask you to follow it. What do you think? Am I just a grumpy?

(I mean, if you're going to check out their personal blog, you'll either leave them an ask, or find a link to it, if there's an info page, right?)

2. How do tracked tags work? I mean, I can kind of figure it out, but do you get notified when someone posts something with that tag?

This is partly me being lazy, and I totally don't mind being given a link to a tumblr FAQ if there is one (is there one? I fail so much; I'm all like, "YAY PRETTY PICTURES! \o/" and...I don't know anything else).

3. I know I have a sketch blog, but I kind of want to make another blog for more finished works (so sort of like an online portfolio). Obviously it will be updated less regularly than the sketch blog, but...I kind of don't know. Is that a stupid thing to do or not?

OK, I'm done now.

~*~

Started doing a drawing of Beth (the heroine) from SMTII, and it's coming out OK! I am pleased about this! (I always love it when a fanart works. Hell, I love it when any art works).

I generally stick to the rule of "if I haven't played it, I don't do art of it", but I've loved her design since I got into the series (two years ago!!1!) It's an attempt to do more Megaten art. Might as well start with something I am having fun with, right? (I totally do intend to play SMTII, just not yet).

~*~

I'm not feeling much better, to be honest, but at least I didn't cry today. So there's some improvement, I guess.
I feel so unproductive today. Just because I spent a lot of it asleep and the rest of it playing Mass Effect (look, it's like crack, OK, and it's having a good effect on my artistry). It's been so hot today though, that I've not really wanted to do anything but lie about (also having a bad-ish bout of PMT, but eh...)

I guess it does not help that I have been reading ME3 spoilers and looking at pics and so on (and Kaidan looks awesome-sauce! Liara looks angry, and Ashley (if that WAS her) looks unrecognisable). And that is all I am going to say about that, because a) you probably don't care and b) if you do care, I'm will try my best not to spoil you (talking of which, my reaction to the only trailer out so far? "Eh, yeah, sure").

~*~

I was going to post an art spam tonight, but my intense laziness overcame me and I decided not to.

Also my sketch blog is a year old! *sings happy birthday* and I just made my one hundredth post! *celebrates*

(Well, actually it was first posted in on the 4th of April 2010, so it's one year and five days old. D'awwww).

oh, and!

Because I can't be arsed to edit the last post, I uploaded enough pics to my tumblr to do a sketch dump this week.

[livejournal.com profile] messiah_noire requested that I do an art dump after asking last night, so that's what this is :)

Before I start, though, a couple of questions:

1. Should I do this once I've got enough sketches and whatnot backed up on my tumblr? I'd say I'd do it weekly, but I only update tumblr at the weekend (and on holidays), so there's not enough for weekly. What do you think?

2. I need a new art icon, since emo!Cloud is two and a half years old now (although I'm still fond of him). (And Azmodel on eljay is nearly six years old!) Any suggestions from my art? (I could have a look myself, and probably will).

That aside, on with the art! And comments and crits are welcome, as I am always looking to improve :)

8 images; may not be suitable for dial-up )
So for my birthday (which isn't till Weds), my mum agreed to put half the cash towards an X-Box 360. So that I could finally get to play FFXIII.

So far so good, right?

I get to Game, and I find me a console I like (a second hand one). I find a preowned copy of FFXIII. I buy said things. I take my 360 home. I put it on. It works, for the half hour I have before I have to get the tea on.

I go back to it later in the evening. I play FFXIII long enough to get past the tutorial battle, but in the following cutscene, the game freezes. I mash buttons on my controller. Nothing happens, so I switch it off. I switch it back on again, and what happens? I get the Red Ring of Death.

I was up for trying all the alternatives to fix it, which I have. And it's still red ringing. This is now three days later. Right now, I have a £100 brick sitting next to my desk in my room.

It was reconditioned, and QA'd a week and a half ago. IT SHOULD BE FINE. UGH.

Anyway, I'm taking it back on Monday, and saying I'd like a replacement or a fix, please.

(I was intending to spend the weekend playing FFXIII, but it seems like the universe really doesn't want me to. UGH).

~*~

I have also had a fairly crappy week, alleviated only today by a good night's sleep last night. The only good thing is that a) it didn't last that long and b) I noticed sooner than I might have previously.

~*~

I don't even. Hands up who thinks I should do a massive sketch dump on here? (Because boy, do I have some sketches to dump. Of course, if you're secretly stalking my sketch blog, then ignore that last question because you've seen it all already).
Re: last night's post - obviously my brain is more confident regarding my art skills than I am aware of. Heh.

Also I looked at my archive on tumblr after I made that post, and I totally do not draw like a 12 year old*. I know that. I am actually pretty damn pleased with all the stuff on there (and a whole bunch of stuff you haven't even seen because it is not scanned).

*Although I'm not entirely sure I draw like a thirty year old, either.

~*~

Today I did what I set out to do, which was drawin' stuff! I also got a few backlogged things scanned (one of which I CG'ed (the pic of Cheryl Mason**), and you can see it on my sketchblog. I have been meaning to scan that pic for two freaking months). I also CG'ed another pic, doing just a simple black and white inking job on it (at least, that's what I tell myself to justify rushing it off in 20 minutes/half an hour).

I do like that new tablet, and it is much more comfortable to draw on than any other I've had (and I've had a Wacom one before, but that was as old as the hills). It does and it doesn't feel like drawing on paper - by which I mean there's a nice amount of "give" to the drawing area, like there is with real media, but no paper I've ever drawn on actively squeaks when I'm filling in colour (that could be because it is new? *shrugs*)

More stuff to come on that when I've had it longer than five days, eh?

**Two incarnations down, just Alessa to go! (Trust me to start at the end, eh? ;) ) Although I didn't do it on purpose, it just happened that way.

Right, just to be confusing, I changed the username for my tumblr. So now if you want to get there, it's now muladhara.tumblr.com, NOT jazzymegster any more. I realise this means I have to edit all my posts now so that the copyright info is correct, but at least there's only 50 or so. Shouldn't take too long, I just get bored easily, lol.

I thought the username would be taken already, but what do you know? \o/
