I started playing Dark Souls II because apparently I hate myself? ;) I think it's because I'm watching Ellen play through DS1 on Outside Xtra, and it's making me want to go back to my DS1 save, but I also don't want to because urrgghh butchers. I know they're just pixels, but that really doesn't help.
So anyway, DS2 is easier than DS1, so far, imo. I mean, at least it has a proper tutorial area (provided you don't accidentally skip it, which is entirely possible). Although I still get annoyed with gravity, and with being mobbed, and my shield not fucking blocking anything! It works if I have it up before I encounter an enemy, but if I go from fighting to blocking, it doesn't? And it's not just me - I rewatched Aoife and Zoe playing the first part of the game, and Aoife has exactly the same problem! (Although Aoife is better at Souls games than me, simply because she doesn't go in hacking and slashing all over the place).
Oh, and the losing health when you die is some bullshit. Why, FromSoft, why?? I don't think it's quite as bad as in Demon's Souls, but I honestly can't remember, even though I've watched three playthroughs in the last six months(!) It's still gimmicky nonsense, though.

Anyway, in non-game related things, I made myself two more books! I suddenly got the urge a few evenings ago, so I folded a bunch of card and then finished them off the next day.
I also rebound a book I made about two years ago that was falling apart - it had been perfect bound, and not very well, since I didn't know what I was doing back then (also perfect binding is inefficient, imo). So I separated it all out and rebound it with single sheet binding. I also rounded the corners with a punch because I like rounded corners on things. However, the corners aren't square, so some of the rounding is a bit wonky.
You can see the finished books here, and the rebound book here.
I also made a book back in January, and can't remember if I mentioned it, but I didn't post a picture of it.
Other than that, not a lot else has been happening, I've just been drawing, and watching stuff on youtube, and avoiding going out unless I need to. Now I'm going to ill-advisedly browse the fountain pen subreddit.
