List post, because I can:
1. Went out to the comics meet, except we all ended up leaving early, as we meet in a pub*, and a very loud band were soundchecking right next to us.
2. Had an extremely nerdy conversation with a work colleague about Skyrim. She has totally convinced me to make a dark elf in either that or Oblivion (which I said I might replay, because I came to realise I like closing Oblivion Gates. It's more fun than fighting dragons).
We also agree about the Thalmor being dicks to everyone, including High Elves when, like, you're the same race! What makes them think they're so high and mighty?
3. I then had to explain Uri Geller to the same person, and maaaaaaaaaaaan I feel old now.
4. I bought Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City from work the other day, despite not owning a Wii. I then followed it yesterday with SimAnimals, MySims Kingdom, and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I've played Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask**, and I'm ambivalent about Twilight Princess, but I thought I would at least try it out!
5. WRT Animal Crossing, I started checking my New Leaf save again, after abandoning it for two weeks accidentally. I am building a lighthouse! It is expensive! (more so than either Brewster's Cafe*** or the Dream Suite, I think).
I am also watching a Let's Play of the original Gamecube Animal Crossing and now I want my own copy (it's expensive, sigh. It would be cheaper to buy a refurbed Wii). I love that the villagers say so much! And you can also have up to 15 villagers in your town? (but the town itself is MASSIVE, which explains that).
And I am also doing and thinking about AC fanart. So yeah. This is a thing. But it makes me happy, and I want to be happy, which leads me onto my next point:
6. I went into work and cried! I haven't done that in...about nine years (I also didn't cry as much, thank frog). I slept badly on Monday night, and then woke up early on Tuesday feeling really rubbish. I thought I'd be okay by the time I got to work, but as I was trying to explain to my boss why I felt rubbish, I started crying for no reason. I stopped pretty quickly, and it was better being at work than if I'd stayed at home (because I would've wallowed all day, no doubt).
I feel a lot better today, so I know it was just a temporary wobble (which is what I suspected anyway).
7. I just winked at the cat and she winked back. You didn't need to know this, but I thought it was cute.
~
*I find it hilarious that my social life is, essentially, You All Meet In An Inn, and has been for the last two years.
**If you've known me long enough, you know about my Majora's Mask tag.
***I need the cafe for KK Slider songs as, can you believe, I don't have any yet. My house is silent and it's annoying!
