Films watched recently:

The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith

So I did it! I finally managed to get through the prequels although jeez, that was a slog. I was bored witless by the first two (though less so by AotC than TPM, but they were both badly paced, and could've done with at least half an hour taking out somewhere). RotS was a MASSIVE improvement over the other two - the pacing was better (though the acting and dialogue was...pretty much the same as the preceding films).

But gosh almighty, no wonder I was mad at TPM when I finally got to see it (I was supposed to go with my ex-boyfriend and some friends to see it at the cinema when it came out. That did not happen. Lesson here is not to make plans with your ex-boyfriend, I guess? I finally saw it on video but was Not Impressed). I'm not mad at it any more, but I agree with the guy who says to cut it entirely out of your watch order. (He says IV V II III VI, and just treat I like a side story that's not that important to the overall thing). The story the prequels tell works absolutely fine discounting TPM, since there's nothing there that's really picked up on later on, and we don't really need to know Anakin was a child prodigy pilot/mechanic/adorable child (because really, it's not even shocking that he turns into a hot-headed, impulsive teenager/young adult, because this is Darth Vader: The Teenage Years).

The only thing I really have to say about AotC is that I thought Mandalorians might be alien aliens, not human aliens.

And I kind of sort of actually liked RotS, in spite of all its problems. Though I did feel sorry for Natalie Portman, because pretty much all she got to do in this one was stand around looking sad and pregnant. The last two scenes made me all whiffly, because everything makes me cry these days. And also baby twinsies!

The best things about all three films are:
1. Duel of the Fates
2. Every single one of Padmé's costumes.

So obviously now I have just three films left, and I am all caught up! \o/

(And as tedious as parts of this have been, I'm actually quite enjoying it!)
