you have foreseen this

I had to take the cat to the vet yesterday, and that was An Experience, because I was worried she would realise what was going on, and hide under the sideboard where I can't reach her. And then I would've had to ring the vet and cancel the appointment because whoops no cat. Oh, and I thought I would sleep/had slept through my alarm, and so I awoke while it was still dark, and didn't settle again until it did go off. So obviously THAT WAS FUN.

In other news, I'm now cat sitting, and my sittee would have you believe that nobody loves him, ever. I also discovered today that he likes having his cheeks scritched, and he contorted himself over my arm so I could this for him.

I started re-reading Howl's Moving Castle because it's been forever since I last read it, and I wasn't in the mood to read anything new. I'm reading it while I'm cat sitting, though obviously the cat has other ideas about that.

Anyway, I'm not very far in, but I am enjoying it so far, which is good.
