I accidentally gained two levels doing a sidequest in The Last Remnant, and I think that that actually helped a bit with the final portion of The Seven!
(Also I was expecting a part of it to be difficult-ish, and it wasn't at all, which was a relief as three large fights (two of them actual boss fights) without saving is incredibly mean, and if I'd have died at that point, I think I would've screamed and thrown the controller out of the window).
(Thankfully, that did not happen).
( spoilers! )
Then I did the next boss fight after that (oy, seven boss fights in a row is blerrrrrgggghhhh), but that went way easier than the preceding six. Which was something of a relief.
I feel like I am near the end of the game now. I don't know for sure, but I sort of hope I am, just from the POV of finishing a game. I've been trying to beat this one for nearly six months, this is ridiculous!

Jackie bought me a present!
We both drink herbal teas (she more than me, and it's the only kind of tea I will drink). Last week when I was at her house, she was telling me about this one she bought that smells exactly like fireball jawbreakers*. She made me a cup of it, and it was lovely.
Anyway, I went round there today because I needed to get out of the house, and I also took her some chai teas (because her kids drink it as well as her, so there's never any in, but I had some spare). It turned out she'd bought me a whole box of the fireball teas! Which was really nice of her!
(She thought it was hilarious that we swapped teas).
Which was a nice thing, because I've had a fairly bad day for one reason and another. Which continued to get worse when I thought my phone had reset itself! It hadn't, luckily. What it had done was switched to the guest account, all by itself (I think I put it back in my pocket without locking it) and I didn't realise it. I was all set to write an angry email to Sony, too! I don't know why my phone has user accounts - it seems like a really weird thing to me. I sorted it out, eventually.

*I suspect these are a UK only sweet? I used to love eating these when I was a kid. Fireballs are my faves, then the sour ones (I love sour sweets). These are gobstoppers with bubble gum in the middle. Though they never stopped my gob for long.
