(no subject)

After a busy day doing Stuff™, I had a nap. Only to be awoken at half past six by the cat, telling me she was starving.

How do I know this? Because I asked her what she wanted, and she lead me to her very empty dish.

*rolls eyes*

Anyway, I've done nothing I wanted to do today. I have, instead, taken delivery of a wheelchair, and also the shopping order, done a minor gardening task, hung out washing in the surprise sunshine, and constructed a flat pack storage unit for the bathroom. That last thing has left me with a VERY sore right hand, because I wanted to make sure it was sturdy, and we don't have an electric screwdriver (I'm sure they're godsends, but I could foresee many accidents because it's me, and I am waaaay accident prone. I nearly stabbed myself in the thigh A LOT today).

I bought two new nail varnishes yesterday. One's purple, and the other's a blue green (or green blue. It depends on the light and the viewer). I think the purple is my new favourite - it's quite a dark, reddy purple with fine glitter in (imagine if the Joker wore lamé, and that's fairly spot on for the colour/sparkles :D ). And I freaking love it! The green blue I bought because I loved the colour and the name (Space Dust), but I'm not so enamoured of it on my nails - I think it needs a base coat of a matte colour first (which I'm going to try because I've got a matching matte of a completely different make).

They look pretty awesome together, though. (Actually, I mentioned the Joker above, and I think that's why the colours go well together. Imprinting on supervillans for the win!)

It's going to take all the resolve I have not to go back and buy more (I wish I was kidding, but I could've easily spent £20 on varnishes, no problem).
