My nephew came to visit this morning, and we played some New Leaf (he caught me an anemone! I didn't have one!) and some Sonic Unleashed. The Sonic game makes me slightly nauseous and incredibly tense. And yet I came away from it wanting to play more of it right away?? I don't understand!
(I would've played it at some point by myself, but my nephew wanted to play it because he likes Sonic and he wanted to show off to his best friend who presumably hasn't played it but also likes Sonic).
I will probably make a new save file if I do play it again, because I don't think it's fair to carry on playing on his save.
ETA: I remembered to lend him City Folk this time, and he was like, the happiest little dude, it was great :D [/eta]

I have a skateboard and I am going to attempt to learn how to ride it! Even though I am nearly forty and it's probably not the best plan in the world!
I wanted to learn to skateboard when I was younger, but I was always convinced I'd never learn to balance properly, and we didn't have enough money to buy me one. So it never happened. But one turned up at work, so now it's mine! \o/ And it turns out balancing on it isn't that difficult. At least, not when it's not moving it isn't. (Also: my sense of balance is not horrendous, and I can ride a bike, so maintaining myself on a skateboard shouldn't be too difficult, right?)
It's funny this turned up, though, because I'd been watching a few videos on Outside Xbox of various skating games recently, and back at the beginning of August tweeted that I regretted not learning to skate as a teenager. I then promptly forgot about it until this board arrived. The universe moves in mysterious ways, maaaaaan ;)

Teeth update: still hurting, though getting better. Have learnt today that a wisdom tooth I was told would never erupt is doing so, so that's fun [/sarcasm]
