1. I don't have questions for the question meme, so I won't be doing that this year.

2. Apparently, I wasn't expected at work yesterday, so I could've had an extra day off! (As it turned out, it was helpful that I did turn up as we are now chronically understaffed, because of reasons I can't talk about).

3. While I was ill/on holiday, I moved a bunch of stuff around in the living room, and now my chair is where the sofa was, and the sofa is where the chair was. This makes things less comfy for gaming, but one day! I will get a new sofa or a even just a chair for over there.

I also moved a bookcase behind the sofa to put my games and DVDs in. It is now holding half my DVDs and most of my games, which is less DVDs than I wanted it to hold, sighs. I think I may have to get rid of a bunch of DVDs because I just don't watch a lot, and some of the ones I own I've never even looked at.

4. While I was doing all this moving around, I found seven unused notebooks, one 7x5 sketchbook, and one small book of cartridge paper. I. I don't even know how to respond to this, apart from say, "Oh, mum," loudly, which is what I did when I found them.

(this is why I don't need any more notebooks. AND YET I STILL BUY THEM).

There were also a couple of partially used ones, but I put them back where they came from, as I am absolutely not up to cannibalising mum's used stuff.

5. I watched some youtube videos about bookmaking again (it's been a year! I don't know if I mentioned it, but I actually made some books last January! I should take photos!) and I'm determined to learn to make a sewn-bound book this year. It looks SO EASY. (If there's one thing I've learnt about book making, it's that it's WAY easier than you think, and you don't need fancy tools to do it. I think the most fancy things I've seen mentioned are an awl and a book press, but you can use other sharp pointy objects (like a drawing pin) and other heavy things to flatten your book).

6. I hope everyone had a lovely New Year, and I hope that 2020 goes well for us all.
