I did not even have to think about this one, as it is so, so easy.
My favourite comic is Hellblazer.
I am talking about original, 300 issue run Hellblazer. Not the reboot, just the original series. I even have a favourite issue which...I can't remember the title of it off the top of my head, but it's called Dead Boy's Heart, and it's by Jamie Delano (writing) and Sean Philips (drawing). And it's just a snapshot of John's life when he was a kid, in 1961, and IDK it just makes me want to hug him?
(Though I am of the opinion that adult John needs all the hugs, too).
I have tried to think, multiple times, about why I like this comic. A lot of it is not a pleasant read, because it's pretty gory (though there are discretion shots for certain things, though that depends on the writer and artist). Also, on the surface, John is an unpleasant person. But I think that's a ruse. I think he feels everything a lot more deeply than he generally lets on. I would say give it a go because, on occasion, stuff gets to him, and he's a sobbing snotty mess, and I fucking love that. It's so human. I think that's probably why I like it so much.
It went a bit weird near the end (*cough*Epiphany Greaves*cough*), but I haven't actually read any of that, so I can't really judge. I'm sad it got cancelled before he got to his next big birthday, but I suppose 300 issues is a nice round number, and not too many to get through (not counting all the side stories and appearances in other comics).
So, um, yes. Hellblazer! It is the comic of my cold, dead heart ♥

I think I'm going to do a synthwave rec post, because why the hell not, right? (Also a lot of the artists are on Bandcamp, so I'm going to include links to support them if you so choose! I am currently agonising over what to buy from whom).
