This has been a pretty shitty week. I would like to delete it and start over, please.
THAT SAID. I think I am definitely hooked on Critical Role. I've just finished up episode five today and yeah, it's going to take me FOREVER to catch up to everyone else, but I'mma do it! I read six eighths of Jojo! I read From Eroica With Love! I watched all of AtLA! I caught up on Namesake after two years! I CAN DO THIS! Admittedly I didn't finish Jojo or Eroica, but it proves I can get into long runners, right?
(I'm going to finish Jojo one day. Eventually. I might go back reread part four first. I think that's my fave).
I started from the first episode, but I read a post today where some people told their friends not to bother with it and ???? I don't understand this? There's some good stuff AND there's the first Q&A*. And, as someone in the post noted, it's a nice intro, especially if you're not familiar with how D&D works. Which I am not. (Which is not to say I haven't encountered it before, because I have. My first brush with RPGs was D&D but a) I didn't know what it was at the time and b) it wasn't me playing. My second brush was my friend Jamie explaining to me about the Dark Sun setting when we were at uni together and me thinking that sounded like some pretty cool shit. But being too scared to join in**. And also it was D&D and I didn't play that because reasons).
Anyway, I've got 68 episodes left, and it's probably going to take me 68 days (or more) to watch them all. By which time, of course, I will still be behind, because there will be another eight episodes on top of that. OH WELL.

*From which I learnt that Liam O'Brien used to have a Commodore 64, which is THE BEST because my first computer that was my own was a C64.
**Also I commuted to and from uni, which made doing social things somewhat painful unless I had somewhere to stay that night, and that wasn't always the case.
