This Friday went much better than last week, even though I was doing essentially the same things. THANK FROG.

I bought myself a new bright blue hoodie yesterday morning, because it was on sale, and I saw it the other day and oh man I wanted it so badly. (I'm not kidding it's almost like neon blue). And then I saw a rucksack that had stars on it, and I had to have that as well because a) I need a new rucksack and b) it has stars on it and I love things with stars on.

I realised belatedly that I could have had a bright red hoodie as well, but perhaps I can go back and get one another time. I think next on my clothes list is some more t-shirts and a new pair of jeans.

I finished reading Howl's Moving Castle. I'm extremely glad I picked it for a reread, because it reminded me why I love it so much. That doesn't always happen with Diana Wynne Jones' books, but I'm definitely glad it did for this and Archer's Goon.

I was going to start on one of the sequels once I'd finished, but then my books came at the library, so I'm reading Symptoms of Being Human now. (It's okay so far, but I'm only 50 pages in).

Also I bought a copy of Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell on Wednesday. Partly because it was a quarter of the price (I got it in a bargain bookstore), and partly because Goodreads - nay, the internet in general - says it's terrible, horrible, no good writing. I seem to pick books a lot by how much they will incense me/everyone else, sooooo here we are. (I just like reading bad reviews on GR. I should take popcorn next time).

In comics reading, I started reading Gangsta the other night. Which I'm only really reading because I kept seeing pictures of Nicolas on tumblr and being all "OOOH WHO'S HE???" (also for a while one of the tumblrs I was following changed their name to something referencing the manga, and thus I was intrigued).

(Also I like him because of how done he looks with everything all the time. I feel like I look like that a lot of the time).

[ETA: well, not to add, but edited to remove appropriative phrasing *slaps wrist* I'm sorry, and I hope I didn't offend anyone.]

I was going to give up on it because the first chapter is...I'm not sure what it is, actually, but the way the story's told changes as soon as the second chapter. Or maybe I was just tired and annoyed, IDK. I liked what I read last night. I'm liking what I'm looking at on the internets. I'm going to keep going for now!

ALSO COMICS GUYS A WEEK TOMORROW! \o/ I'm going to sit and work on character designs because I'm having way too much fun designing my antagonist right now. (Though really I need to work on general costumes for this world; I'm thinking maybe like modern day-ish. Maybe).
