(no subject)

I restarted The Last Remnant to see if I could finish it before the end of the year (I doubt it, but if I do, I'll have beaten nine games this year, and that's a record for me. OK, most of them were short, indie games by one maker but dude who cares??)

I'm playing on the big TV downstairs, and did you know it makes ever such a difference when you can read the commands on the screen? WHAT A SURPRISE.

I have just encountered Roeas and her bovine friend for the first time (not up to That One Fight yet, though). Now I know where I've seen Iron Bull before ;)

Mum asked me what the title refers to, and I couldn't remember for the life of me. I at least explained what remnants were within the context of the game, though.

I finished reading Some Kind of Fairy Tale earlier, and I was far from impressed. It was not helped, for the most part by the fact that the writer's OK, but then there are some parts that seem really badly written, and it can't even be explained away by saying that's the narrator's voice, or whatever.

I thought I might try reading some more of his stuff, but I honestly don't want to now. This all makes me sound grumpy, I realise. But I honestly was expecting better than what I got, so I'm guessing I just feel let down.
