3: A song that reminds you of summertime
Magic Beast Farm by Hitoshi Sakimoto
This is the music that plays when you go to visit your captured beasts in Tactics Advance, but this is the version from the White Melodies album that was released. The original makes me think of the summer, I think, because that's when I first played FFTA, and usually when I choose to replay. Also, I dunno, Ivalice automatically equals summer for me? *shrugs*
(Also: I swear I was going to pick something other than a game track for this, since a lot of jazz standards make me think of summer, too, but do you think I could pick one? The answer is no).
11: A song that you never get tired of
Bus Depot Blues by Slice da 5'9"
It's essentially the plot of Earthbound in, uh, rap? format? I'm absolutely fascinated by the guy's voice, though, as he sounds like he comes from somewhere local to me (it's not my town's accent, but it's somewhere nearby, I know that much). Also, you know, it's just a fun track to listen to. And it never gets skipped if it comes up on shuffle.
13: One of your favorite 80’s songs
Sometimes I forget that a lot of the bands I like were mostly active in the eighties, and so my immediate thought for an eighties is never a song by one of them. UNTIL LAST NIGHT. When I picked the Queen song below for this prompt, and then decided it fit that one better.
Love To Hate You by Erasure
I don't know if this is my absolute fave (see above reasoning), but it's certainly fairly high up the list.
19: A song that makes you think about life
Who Wants To Live Forever? by Queen
It doesn't so much make me think about life as it does death, given the scene it accompanies in Highlander, and knowing that Brian May wrote it following the death of his father. So, uh, yeah.
