Films watched recently:
# Around the World in 80 Days (1956 version)
# Tintin (switched it off after half an hour because OH GOD UNCANNY VALLEY)
# The Rugrats Movie (I think I've seen this before?? I know I've at least seen bits. Whatever. I used to be big into Rugrats when I was a teenager, and wasn't sure I'd like this after so long, but I diiiiiid).

When you see this, make a post in your journal or in a community. It can be anything: a crosspost something you've posted on Tumblr, a few words about the last thing you read/watched, or just a "Hi, how is everyone?" Then go read your f-list and leave at least one comment.
Because people complain about LJ/DW being dead or whatever, because all the action's on tumblr.

Annette came to visit yesterday, and that was awesome :) I always feel like she never is around long enough, even if I get her for a whole day. (She doesn't live that far away, but I live at the bottom of a valley, and she lives at the top, and her village is awkward to get to - there are buses, but they're irregular, and I'd have to go out of my way to get one).
I made her a kusudama in four different neon colours, and she was amazed by it which was nice. I forgot to take a photo of it when it was finished, so I'll have to ask her to send me a picture of it when she's hung it.
She lent me books! She lent me two children's books in German - Der Kleine Prinz (which I am familiar with in English; one day I'd like to read the original French, though), and Ronja by Astrid Lindgren. She has also lent me three of the six complete volumes of Moomin :D (she thought she'd given me 1-3, but I've got 2, 3, and 5. Never mind :) ) Oh, and a book of Arthur Rackham's illustrations for The Ring Cycle which are amaaaaaazing (he's one of my favourite artists).
And I got to tell her about Hatoful Boyfriend while we were in a busy pharmacy, waiting to be served. (We also had other ludicrous conversations in public. One thing that's been amusing me today is imagining other peoples' reactions to hearing, for example, her gushing about Tintin, or me about A:tLA, and wondering if anyone tweeted about it. Probably not, but that doesn't stop me thinking about it). Right before I got served, I was like, "So yeah, pigeon dating game!"
(She said it sounds really interesting. I should've sent her a link to buy it :D )
I also told her about some other visual novels as well, and the fact that I like the idea. And I also like the idea that it irritates the shit out of dudebros who sit there flailing, going, "BUT IT'S NOT A REAL GAEM!!!!1!" fuck you, you don't get to tell me what is and isn't a game, any more than my ex-tutors got to tell me what and what isn't art.
*ahem*
I think she likes the idea of visual novels, anyway.
I haven't seen her in six months, so it was really good to see her again (although as usual, I remembered about a hundred things I meant to tell her and forgot to, but such is the way).
