Last night me and mum watched Black Swan. Commentary on it varied between, "Ew!", "ow!", and "this is really weird" (first two were me, last one was mum). I think mum wanted to watch it because ballet, and I didn't mind watching it because I wanted to see if it was as interesting as the trailers made it.
...I'd certainly say it was interesting.
And odd, although odd isn't really the word I mean. Strange, maybe. Unsettling, certainly.
Look, I've never seen a Darren Aronofsky film before, so this is a first for me.
I kind of wish I had clever things to say about it, but really all I can come up with is, "oh, okay".

In other news, I started watching Adventure Time (which is another thing I can blame Poupon for). I discovered that the Cartoon Network UK does indeed show it, and there were six eps on yesterday. So I taped them all. And mum watched it with me (she said it's weird and also noisy. I think yesterday was a day full of weird. Or, at least, the evening was).
I enjoyed it! It is not the weirdest thing I've watched recently (that's Kill la Kill), and certainly not the weirdest thing I've ever seen (that would either go to Jan Svenkmeyer's version of Alice in Wonderland or that French film with the blue aliens in it). But I like it. It is funny, and the music is cool, and a lot of it makes little to no sense, but I don't really care. And now I want to watch more of it (but I have to finish watching Madoka first - I am exactly halfway through).
(Talking of Madoka, all I will say for now is that I adore the soundtrack - it reminds me a bit of the Yume Nikki (not exactly) soundtrack - it's atmospheric in the same way, and I love it. I will talk more about the show once I'm done watching it because I've got a feeling it's going to give me Thinky Thoughts™)
