Last night:
# completed Mordin's loyalty mission. That was...interesting. Then I did Grunt's, and even though I was in fear and trembling of the Thresher Maw, we killed it! This was partly because yesterday was the day of glitchy glitches (2 glitches more than 1, I see), and I'd already had floating ammo I couldn't pick up. So I was actually stuck on top of somewhere, not in cover at all (meaning the Maw could spit at me freely. LOVELY). BUT. It meant I had the best vantage point for taking it out. Which is totally what happened.

Today:
# Finished Tali's recruitment mission. Had forgotten how much fun it is blowing geth to bits, although I could've done without being so close to those geth Primes. SERIOUSLY. Also I accidentally killed someone I didn't mean to. Whoops.
# mined the Solar system for minerals, and was disappointed that you can't mine Earth and Mars for minerals (I suppose they need them? *sigh*).
# Did Jack's, Thane's, and Garrus' loyalty missions. (Jack's and Garrus', I liked. Thane's was boring as hell, and it doesn't feel resolved to me at all. Not bothered, since I don't like him that much).
# Also made myself an EA account and downloaded the Normandy Crash Site last night, and Zaeed (plus his missions) this morning. God, I love free DLC (got Firewalker and a set of guns to still download, and when I can be arsed, swap the disc for DA:O and unlock Shale (plus missions/whatever), and the Blood Dragon armour for both games.

# Also mum got to hear Mordin sing Gilbert & Sullivan. I even heard her snerk, although she later said she wasn't sure about the whole thing.
What's next:
# *shrugs* Probably everything ever on Omega (Samara's and someone else's? loyalty missions, and picking up Zaeed). Or maybe Tali's loyalty mission (because she gave it to me on the SECOND time I talked to her, bloody hell).
And then, I might continue with the actual plot.

(Watching an antiques programme. There are clocks)
Me: I like that one (points at it).
Mum: Of course you like it, it's got blue on it.
(slight pause)
Me: [mental flailing because yes, blue is my favourite colour, but sometimes I like things other than because they are blue, which the following attempts to demonstrate] Uh, well. Um. I was going to say I don't like asari 'cause they've got blue on them but. Well. I like asari. (and not 'cause they have blue on them)
Mum: What?
Me: Asari, aliens in Mass Effect. They're blue, like Zhaan in Farscape, but they're not plants.
(pause)
Me: I like Liara. Every time I see her I want to poke her cheeks.
Mum: o_o
Also that, "it's got blue on it" makes me think of, "you've got some red on you" and there's NO WAY ON THIS PLANET my mum even knows what that is or means.
