Firstly, I would like to say thank you ever so much to everyone who commented on the massive post of massiveness. Thanks for enduring me and my lame questions, too.

Secondly, the saga of the display heads, it continueth!

Quick recap: ordered a display head, it was delayed. I emailed the seller to ask what happened. He sent replacement. Original order turned up. I phoned and offered to pay for replacement. He said to reorder via internet and send him a note to say that's what I'd done, and he'd process the order but not dispatch a new head.

So I did just that.

Got the confirmation emails, blah blah blah. This morning, there's a knock at the door, and it's the postman. He has post, and he has a suspiciously familiar looking parcel. Oh boy. And yes, it was another one.

SO NOW I HAVE THREE.

I'm not sending it back, and I'm not contacting him again. He's lost money, but it isn't my fault. I did as we agreed over the phone.

Thirdly, I started writing a story a few nights back. I need to look at it again, actually, and see if I can figure out what's happening with it. I'd really like to post it on here, but I kind of want to hold off until it's finished.

I hope it doesn't take long, because it's all in the second person (yeah, what is this, I don't even). It is also indulging my id TO THE HILT. But you know what? I don't care. Nobody else is going to write this for me (and even if they did, they don't know what tickles my id). I am stuck on a minor detail at the moment, but the whole thing is vague notes right now, to be fair, so I can hash that out later.

Might post some of it tomorrow?

Fourthly, I am going to damn well make it from one end of a Wallander novel to the other! I tried with Before The Frost, but that was on audiobook, and the narrator was...uninspiring. I think I got two tapes in before I had to take it back.

So now I've got The Dogs of Riga in actual book form, and I'm damn well going to read it!

(Mostly because I want to see the differences between the TV episodes and the books - I know some of the eps were not based on the books, so...I don't know if I've seen this one or not. And when I talk about the TV series, I mean the one with Krister Henriksson in, not Kenneth Branagh. I tried with the English version. Oh god, I really did, but I love Mr Henriksson, and I found Mr Branagh a right turn off).

The strangeness of downloading/saving pictures of someone you don't have a crush on, but are saving into your man-crush folder so you know where they are for future reference.

There's a word for this, right??
