I have a desk under my window now! \o/
OK, so it's actually a huge piece of formica* on top of boxes (mostly containing art stuff, but also fabric. I'm not known in my house for having brains. But it kind of makes sense, since there's so little room in general, and that's where I'll be using it. An actual desk would be nice, but I can't afford one (even if I could claim it as a business expense) ).
BUT. It means I have a flat space once more for putting my computer on, photographing stuff on, and for doing various craft related things on. I am very pleased with myself.
All I need now is a chair, and we're cooking with gas.
I'm going to post a photo, which will point out the stonkingly obvious, and that's that I'll be blocking the ceiling light BUT the point of putting the space there was a) I have a desk lamp and b) natural light all the way once we get to summer, baby.

I am supposed to be working this weekend, and yet I spent most today building a desk. Priorities, I has them!

In other (ridiculous) news, Tom Hiddleston is my twin.
OK, no he isn't, but his birthday is EXACTLY the same day as mine (so now y'all know exactly how old I am). EXACTLY.
Kind of freaked out because he looks like a proper adult and he has a proper job and everything, and I neither feel like a proper adult nor do I have a proper job**. And he's posh and I'm not. Remind me to do that not-a-voice-post for you one time, once I can get over the hatred of the sound of my own voice.
Also I am sure he is the personification of moe. Seriously. He makes me want to hug him, and I believe that's the quality that makes one moe (I'm not that into anime so I don't actually know?)

Shelves would be a nice thing to have next. Yes.

Going to try to remember to upload a picspam tomorrow. And then watch as all my shiny new friends decide to take me off their lists...

*On looking at it, and seeing the holes on its underside, I suspect that it used to be part of something IKEA-related. I wouldn't know this but that my bookcase has similar holes (and was bought at said store).
**Yo, I DO think it's a proper job, but sometimes it just feels like I'm messing about. Also I can imagine that my ex-boss' wife would say it wasn't a proper job. She has ~feelings~ about that sort of thing.
