midnight is where the day begins

So I was wondering - I want to sell stuff* and I was wondering if, instead of commissions (because I'm lousy at deadlines), I could offer customised stuff. Like I could say, well you can have one like this, and I'll add your name, or your initial(s), or your star sign or something?

I mean, I know people do stuff like that, but I'm not sure about the reaction to it. I might make custom items once in a blue moon, maybe (like I am doing at the moment, but my last one was some time since).

*Scarves, hats, bags, etc.

...I think that I actually need to do some proper thinking about this (I mean, I know I have to anyway). Like lay out some kind of time line for myself of when it may be feasible for me to take on commissioned work. Hmm.

(Also, younger me, why did you never think of this when you were panicking about whether you could cope with commissions or not? You were an idiot!)

I also ought to do that Super Scientific Survey™ at some time (NB: not actually Scientific at all).

In other news, mum decided since I am supposedly being awesome that she would buy me Chinese takeaway (luckily my tiny village has one). We both had sweet and sour pork, and split a special fried rice between us, and no word of a lie, it was the best damn Chinese takeaway I've ever eaten.

Which is to say I ate it all, which doesn't happen generally unless I make it myself.

I whipped one of their menus and discovered that they also do squid dishes. Somehow I will have to make myself rich so I can eat it all the time.
