or is he a knight?

Let me introduce you to a song:

Literally Everyone Else in the World - The Oxventurer's Guild

You've seen me occasionally talking about Outside Xbox, right? Well, this song was made by them to raise money for Mind, which is a British charity that helps people with mental health problems. It is, so someone said in the comments (I think?), the most British thing.

Basically it's everyone involved with Outside Xbox/Outside Xtra (...all five of them) being their D&D characters and singing about their DM, and it's awesome.

(I will say here that it's funnier in context, but I also thought it was pretty funny when I didn't have context. I'm about halfway through their Oxventures so far, so I still don't get all the references).

So anyway, if you want to donate money, there's a link in the video description, and you can also buy the single from all reputable download places, and all the proceeds go to Mind. Should you have the funds to do so, of course, because I understand completely how horrible it is to want to give to good causes and not have the means to do it.

(I mean, ideally, we shouldn't need charities, but sadly we don't live in that version of the world).

But also, you guys know me. You know I have mental health problems. Fortunately things are stable for me at the moment, though they're not always that way. I found Outside Xbox when I was in a really bad place, and they've helped cheer me up when I've not been feeling so great over the past year or so. Which is basically why I'm pleased that they (and their DM) have chosen Mind as their charity of choice.

Now I know why I've been putting off writing this as a twitter thread. It sounds trite and insincere and I really don't mean it that way. I'm happy! I want to share this video about these peeps and their DM, because it makes me happy and gleeful* and I wanted to share, but also I wanted to explain why it exists.

So yeah, um, at least go and give it a watch? Even if you do nothing else? (You could also watch this video of Johnny listing times he got derailed by his players because if there's one thing that's universal to every experience of D&D (imo), it's getting derailed by your players).

*I mean, it made me cry, too, and still makes me a bit weepy from time to time, because ~feelings~
