1. We have finished watching Charmed. I did not find S8 as unbearable this time around (unlike the last time I saw it), but in comparison to most of the preceding seasons, it's pretty samey. I think what hurt last time was the jump from 3 (which was better) to 8 (which wasn't). The DVD version has a terrible theme tune, as the rights on the original had run out by the time the S8 DVD came out (apparently all the series have the terrible theme tune on Netflix).
Mum is bereft that we have none of it left to watch, though I did tell her that she can watch it any time she wants, since the boxset is ours and isn't going anywhere.
2. I took the cat to the vet on Tuesday to get her weighed so that we can get flea drops/worming meds for her. She is a whopping 4KGS! The vet says this is the perfect weight, so nothing to worry about (she's put some on since we brought her home, but I suspect that's down to not being stressed any more). And everything else is fine, so phew!
3. I have finally cleared Eridanus in Strange Journey. TVT says Fornax is easier, but pfffft I am not sure I believe that (although at least it does not contain the mother of all warp square floors). I should possibly stop playing it when I am dog-tired, however, as all the dialogue starts annoying me because oh god will they not stop talking????
4. I can't remember if I mentioned this, but mum bought me a terrarium for Xmas. It is one for growing North American cacti. I finally got to planting it up at the beginning of April. It is supposed to start sprouting a week or two from setting it up.
Spoilers: that did not happen.
Anyway, eventually a small...thing...started sprouting, and I don't know what it is. It has two distinct leaves, and it's very small. And is growing very slowly. That appeared about a month after planting. BUT! Yesterday I looked at it closely again, and there are also two teeny tiny cacti growing!! \o/
And what this means is that I have grown something from seed! I am terrible at gardening and growing things (which is why I mostly own succulents and/or cacti) so possibly my luck is changing? I mean yeah, these are still succulents/cacti, but I grew them! By myself!
5. I had a dream last night that was partially in Welsh, which was weird, given that I can barely understand more than three words at any one time. I think I understood it, so maybe my subconscious is better at languages than me.
