just the facts, ma'am
I volunteered myself to
nintendoh for this, and he gave me 19 as my number for facts to list. I don't know how interesting they are, but hey ho, here we are.
The rules: If you comment here with the words "I wanna play" I will assign you a number from 15-30 of facts about yourself to post about yourself in your journal.
1. My favourite fruits are strawberries and peaches, and this extends as far as things that smell/taste like them (but obviously aren't them).
2. When I was little, about four or so, I touched a switched-on iron to see if it was hot. And was completely surprised when I burnt my finger.
3. I have a stuffed dinosaur from when I was four. He is a mixture between a T.rex, a Stegosaurus, and a Triceratops (so not accurate in the slightest). He is named Trevor, after the teaching assistant in my nursery class.
4. On a related note, I once told one of my teachers that I wanted to be Pterodactyl when I grew up.
5. I was born three weeks premature, and should've been born on St. David's Day (March 1st).
6. I went to university, but I didn't finish my course. I did computer animation and special effects, which was interesting and fun for the most part (pretentious photography lessons aside), but the stress of commuting a 60 mile round trip plus the workload was not good for me, and so I left.
7. I am totally into technology, but I think 3D printing is witchcraft.
8. I generally can't watch films without snarking about them, even when I'm really enjoying them. I've annoyed at least one of my friends because of this.
9. I'm jealous of my brother because he was born in Wales and I wasn't.
10. Talking of which, I was born in the same town as Ian McKellen, though obviously not at the same time.
11. I knew two other people with the same birthday as me when I was growing up (one the same day/year/hospital), so I never had a birthday to myself.
12. I've never had a birthday party, and now I don't really want one.
13. Most of the Latin I know is either legalese or medical, because I like crime dramas and shows set in hospitals. I watched a lot of E.R. as a teen, which I think is what started it - well, for the hospital stuff, anyway. Both my parents watched crime stuff, so I probably just joined in watching with them (though I preferred what my mum watched to what my dad did).
14. Sometimes I get embarrassed of my accent, because I feel like it's really strong (though I can make it sound stronger than how it usually sounds).
15. I really like fashion history, and I'm interested in clothes - to some extent - I'm not so into fashion I care about trends and stuff - but you would probably never guess it from looking at me.
16. I lived in North Wales for two years. I had a flat that was two minutes' walk from the beach. I was really homesick when I was first there, but now I miss it very much and sometimes wish I'd stayed there. I used to have stress dreams about moving back there, but they don't happen so often now (which is good, really, because they felt real and I always felt sad when I woke up).
17. Almost every story I write now I'm an adult ends up being a sloppy romance unless I try hard not to make it so. This is an improvement on stuff I wrote as a teenager, however, when people used to end up dead a lot. The story I refer to as the band story is a holdover from my teenage years and...yup, there's a dead person in it (there's also a sloppy romance now, though).
18. I really like big noses. The more interesting-looking, the better.
19. My favourite period in history is the Wild West, but that also includes the Victorian Era for Britain. I don't know why I find cowboys and exploration really interesting but I do.

and witchcraft is cool B']I used to have birthday ~gatherings~. I say this because "parties" implies that there was fun, and there was certainly not any fun lol.

I'm pretty sure I've told a teacher or a relative at some point that I wanted to be a dinosaur when I grew up. Nothing quite beats my cousin though--his goal was to be a pineapple.
I don't think I've ever had a proper birthday party. I don't like the attention. I certainly enjoy going to other people's birthday parties, but I'd hate to have one thrown for me.
Interesting noses are totally awesome--my friend really hates her nose and she wants a nose job, which I'm not against her doing if it's what would make her happy, but I wish she could see it like I saw it, I guess.

Oh man, a pineapple beats a dinosaur, I think! I don't even know what prompted me to do it, I think I'd just learnt a relatively complex word given my age at the time.
Yeah, there is that. I'm not good at being the centre of attention, either.
Aren't they just! That's a shame about your friend, but I can kind of understand it, but on the other hand, I totally know what you mean.
