I started playing Dragon Age II today. Because I needed to kill pixels, was feeling awful, and wanted to play video game. And I REALLY do not want to finish DA:O. Seriously. I just. I can't. Maybe one day, but not today.

Got a female Hawke (Eirian), and I love her already. Though she does kind of look like Joan of Arc. She's also the only one in her family who's familiar with hair dye (presumably because the programming to make the family look alike is based from the defaults you can choose, rather than what you end up with. IDK. It would explain why the rest of my family are as pale as death warmed over while Eirian has what looks like a slight tan?)

Also please please please someone tell me that the subtitles/on screen text are legible on a widescreen TV? Usually I have subtitles on to help me with audio, not the other way around. And I'm pretty much guessing what response Hawke has to make from the icons that appear, rather than actually reading the text (because I can't. I'd have to have my nose practically planted against the TV screen in order to).

Anyway, I haven't played much (literally just met Varric and got freedom to wander around Kirkwall. I think I'm supposed to go and see Aveline?)

Films watched recently: Elizabeth - The Golden Age; My Sister's Keeper.

Working. Feeling like I'm going crazy (my own fault - I'm not eating too well at the moment, but I am trying to remedy it). Feel like I need a holiday, but can't afford to go anywhere (yeah yeah, I know I've had time off work but I need an actual change of scenery). Got insomnia. Time I should be asleep.

Yes the text is readable on a widescreen. I played the whole game on one and never had an issue and I'm literally 'count fingers' blind instead of 'can you read the first line?' blind. I usually have issues with text but didn't with that game so it might be your t.v.

I really enjoyed DA:2, what profession did you choose? I ended up going with rogue which was a lot of fun, though later on I did start to pull up the magic screen just so I could pause from continuously pressing the same damn button over and over again. You really don't get a lot of deviation as a rogue.

Have you figured out the romance path you might take? Or not your thing? I went with Fenris, the easy to insult asshole [I love him, I do.. but so many save files in worry]. If you choose him, DON'T have sex with anyone else while you're wooing him [be careful of Isabella, she's a sneaky one!] because he will be very cross with you and decide you will have a better life with the other person, even if you don't want them and you can't continue on his romance path [thus all the save files].

Only warning I have is before you go into the last act you need to have everyone at 100% loyalty. They have to be loyal to you or they'll say 'haha fight your own god damn war' and leave you like a one night stand.

Now that I've written a small novel I will leave you!

I had a hard time picking who I wanted to romance, I ended up going with Fenris after learning more about his character. I really enjoyed his romance but damn if it got frustrating when I'd pick what I think he'd like and he would just glare at me like I'd tried to make him drink magic infused water. /rub face

I've got ME2 through my steam account and have been slowly, VERY SLOWLY mind you, progressing through. I'm hoping to do Garrus on there, love him so much~!

I ended up finding a guide after a while because people were scaring me on how easy it was to screw up things. I didn't find it too hard but it did help with Fenris lol, especially after he kept hating me at GOOD replies -.-

Oh haha thane. I've actually watched all his romance because I wanted to pick him but didn't have the game at the time. Now that I have it... I want to go with Garrus because honestly I think he's a great pick, aside from Kaiden.

When I get ME3 I'll make a file just for Kaiden~ I adore him. If I could get ME1 and mod a female to be male for it, I'd play the first one just for him. [I tried playing the first one on XBOX and just couldn't get through it after having already played a lot of ME2 ... I was one of those]

Good luck though! Hopefully the person you romance isn't a douche about it! ;3

i can never read the stuff on my TV it's really annoying to me.

<3 Isabela on DAII. I like DA:O waaaaaay more but Claudia is everything to me and Video Games. I still enjoyed DAII. I hope Morrigan is back for DA3 and CLAUDIAAAAAAAAA FOREVER. I hear it's going to be an open world. WINNING. We'll see.

The deep roads aren't as long in DA2 but you may not have played them in DA:O where they take foreverrrrrrrrr also the Fade. ick. hahah
