I went and had a kind of social life last night! Well, as in I went to Jackie's for a couple of hours to show off some scarves and a hat I yarnbent. She was impressed ^-^ She also said she thought I was a pretty good artist, too* (eta: ahahahaha this is what I get for not finishing my sentence; it should have ended with "a pretty good artist when we were at college together". Hence the comment in the footnotes).

And today I cleared my desk off in my room because, for however many years I've been using it now, I've just been dumping shit on it. So I cleared it. I found useful places for useful things, and put away papers and so on. Then I put my computer on the desk, and I plugged my graphics tab in, and set it up like I've seen people do when they post pics of their studios. And bloody hell, it works a treat! Why did I not do this sooner?

(I have a rickety old desk, and I need to get a new one, really. Also I need to sort out the studio that is yet to be before I even think about desk-like articles and chairs**).

After starting that Nu Mou picture, I promptly got distracted by all things Ivalice and now I am playing Tactics Advance again.

This, my friends, is why I rarely ever finish games off. Because I get distracted by something else shiny.

*What is it with people assuming that now I'm not at college, I don't do art any more? I am the exception, not the rule!

**What I would really like is the not-wicker chair that's in mum's room right now. Hmm. I will contemplate that.
