I watched a full playthrough of Inscyption and, while I like the game overall, I'm dissatisfied with it from about two thirds of the way through to the end. Mainly because I would have liked a bit more info on certain plot points*. I was trying not to spoiler cut this, but it looks like I will have to!
Like. I don't understand the whole bit playing against P03. Mainly because it feels repetitive of not only the opening section with Leshy, but also the section you just played where you're playing the "real" version of Inscryption. It's supposed to be because P03 is trying to take over (the world? IDK) because of exposure to the OLD_DATA, but it feels lazy, imo. Although obviously, I don't make games, so I don't know how I would change that to make it feel better for myself.
I also don't like the OLD_DATA isn't really explained. I know it's meant to be some unknowable Thing™ like Cthulu or whatever, but it doesn't really come across as that. Added to which, you only get Luke's (the player character's) reaction to it (apart from the end where he smashes the game disk) if you manage to unlock a bonus character! YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK SOMEONE WITH IMPORTANT INFO??? W T F IS THIS NONSENSE???
(From a browse on the subreddit, it seems as if I am not the only one who's dissatisfied, which is nice to know).
OH OH AND WHO THE HELL IS KAMINSKI? Or is does that card only exist to throw you for a loop? Kaycee's card makes sense because she was the person who made the game (apparently?), and she is mentioned later on, but what about Kaminski? We'll probably never find out.
I do like P03's troll face, though.
Griping aside, I do love the art for the cards, and it looks like a fun game to play, but if only there were a bit more to it!
(Subreddit says more may come, as has happened with at least one of the developer's past games, so honestly ???)
*I know it's not a game made by a big studio but, like, a little bit more info even textually would have been nice.

In other news, I watched the second Matrix Resurrections trailer, and I am kind of hype again!
I won't be able to see it in a cinema - money aside, neither of my local ones is getting it (at least not on release date**), and I reeeeeally feel leery about being in cinemas right now, even if they're following covid guidelines and whatnot. And obviously, I don't have US HBO Max, so I will just have to wait till it comes out on DVD. Which. It would be hilarious if that happens around the time of my birthday.
**And the one in Burnley will be closing to make way for a "discount supermarket", whatever that means. I assume another Lidl, since they already have two Aldis.

Got my booster jab booked! Annoyingly, it's not at my local health centre for some reason (it doesn't appear as an option on the NHS booking site), so I have to go elsewhere for it, but at least I'm getting it. Just before Xmas, yaaaaay.

Anyway, I think that's it for now. I've not been up to much since I've been at work for the last few days.
