I was sort of half-assedly doing Inktober (and not posting a lot because, well, a lot of it wasn't great*). I think I have been side-tracked by Other Things, though, now (and we're not even halfway through the month, which is usually when I give up!)
I got a book out of the library called The Mindful Maker, which has different things in it you can make as calming projects**. One of the projects is a stuffed cat. Which I decided I would make, and did. I finished it last night, although I made it slightly too small, but I can always make another one at a bigger size.
I also decided to watch some of Kasey Golden's videos about sewing things (I could swear I've watched at least one of the cactus ones before, but my watch history on youtube said otherwise). I'd sort of been avoiding them (although I'm not entirely through her backlog anyway) but I don't know why??
And it got me thinking about making felt versions of some of my own art, so I made Big Cat and Little Cat. I'm currently making a doughnut (although not in the right colour as I don't have any light brown felt), and I have a small list of other things I think I'm going to make.
Anyway, I'm really enjoying it, especially making my own things, as opposed to someone else's. Though I am going to do some fanarty things! I've got so much yellow I decided the best plan of action for that was a Chocobo. (And then I went and bought some more because I am an idiot).
Hopefully I will manage to get some of this up on my sketchblog soonish (along with a few other things I've done recently), so y'all can see what I'm up to!

*One of the things I said I'd do was only share it if I was happy to do so. So that's what I did.
**Which is great, until you realise the author CAPITALISED words she wants you to take notice of, and it feels like she's yelling. Which is not calming in the slightest.
