So, my eyetest!

The optician was really pleased with my eyes. She says my eyes are perfectly healthy, which is great news! She also took photos of my retinas, and explained that as someone who is short-sighted, I have to be aware of retinal detachment, because people who are short-sighted have thinner retinas. Sorry for the long sentence, but it's to explain the next part. She said, looking at my retinas, that they show no signs of thinning AT ALL, and if she didn't already know I was short-sighted, she would not have been able to tell from looking at them. So that was kind of awesome?

However.

As I suspected, my eyesight has got worse. My distance vision is fine, and hasn't changed in the two years since my last test. My near sight, on the other hand, is worse. I had suspected this, since I've had a lot of problems doing close work/reading in the past few months. So I have to have reading glasses now!

I chose myself an ugly-ish pair of frames, because I couldn't find a nice pair (I like the style of the frames in theory, but they're too heavy for me, really). The lenses will be plastic instead of glass, since I'm not intending to use them outside the house, so I don't owe anything towards them! \o/

(Gods bless the NHS and help towards medical treatments).

They will be ready by Monday, so hopefully I can pick them up then.

Squeenix Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Quiz

(I did it and got 77% because they would insist on giving me questions about games I haven't played! But I got a 10% discount code for the Squeenix store, so I had a look and bought myself a 30th anniversary tote and a CACTUAR PLUSH. Because I am almost thirty seven, and obviously I need those things).

In the Earthbound LP, we have just done Moonside, and are about to go and beat up the Robot in the Monotoli building, I think?? (I haven't been able to watch any today, as I've been doing Other Stuff™, so I don't really remember exactly where I got to). Anyway, looking forward to watching some more tomorrow!

It was good, wasn't it? I fell down on XI, XIV and got a couple of lucky guesses on XV. I am VERY JEALOUS of your 90%.

I had absorbed everything I needed about XV from just being around and having a weirdly steel-trap memory for stuff like this (my friend called me a Sage of Final Fantasy, which cracks me up.) 90% didn't get me any more than the 10% though, lol. XI is really what killed me, though, since it's the only one I haven't played. I sort of wish they'd make an offline-able story mode for it.

Ah no, I just meant 'cause you know more stuff than me! I've picked up on some stuff about XV (one of my friends livetweeted it as he was playing) but IDK whether to look up spoilers or not. I probably will eventually.

Sometimes I wish I didn't spend so much brain hard drive space on this! But as I told my friend, I do one thing and I do it well.

We're planning to do XV for Moogle U once we finish (or quit) Type-0.

Oooh. I would not blame you and Sev if you quit Type-0 from the sounds of the way it's going.

It might just be warped expectations (I did not anticipate Grimdark Kingdom Hearts the Final Fantasy, you know?). We'll see if I become more competent at playing it.
