HOLY CARP I HAVE BEATEN THE LAST REMNANT.

I BEAT THE FINAL BOSS ON THE FIRST GO.

THIS IS BIG BECAUSE THE RANDOM NUMBER GOD OF THIS GAME HATES ME.

*ahem*

I died a lot versus rare monsters so was not expecting the final boss to go well. It wasn't a walk in the park (especially not when the boss cast a spell that allowed him to dodge every hit for two and half rounds), but it wasn't too difficult, either. I don't often beat final bosses on the first go (in fact, the last one I can remember is the one in FFX-2, but I was stupid-overpowered then).

Anyway, now to check out my list of other unfinished/not started games and see what I fancy playing next. (I thought about TWEWY for the fifty millionth time, or maybe Tactics Advance but maybe how about a game I haven't finished/played before).

Fuck I really need to pick up this game again. I pretty much ragequitted at that early part with the church or something because it was so hard and at that time I didn't have the energy to delve deep into a complicated RPG. But now I'm ready I think

I totally understand the ragequitting. I sort of did that myself this time, which is why it took me so long to finish.

Do you have the Xbox version or PC? (The reason I'm asking is that the Xbox version is the worst version and now I've beaten it, I totally understand this).

Oh good! That's the better version. You won't have half as many headaches as I did, then (game mechanics-wise, anyway. I can't speak for the rest of it...)

Yeah, I've got a small stack that has Lightning Returns (need to finish), and then Nier, Enslaved: Journey to the West (or whatever its subtitle is), and Red Dead Redemption, which are all unplayed. I also need to finish Dragon's Dogma, which I forgot to pick up to bring downstairs, and ilomilo, which is a digital only game.

This is only my 360 games, though. I have way more PS2 games that need playing/beating, and a handful of NDS ones...Also the Final Fantasys that I haven't finished for one reason and another.

Eee, PS2 games. I miss mine.

Red Dead Redemption was an impulse buy for me back in...like, 2011 or 2012? Don't remember when it came out, but I got it for like ten bucks. It was surprisingly fun. Nier is also a good game, although I gave up two endings in, as things get kind of crafty/grindy once you're a few NG+es in. The main game is really great, though.

And, y'know, Lightning Returns is pretty fun.

Final Fantasies are great, though be warned, if you liveblog 'em I will haunt your blog like an especially vocal ghost.

I thought RDR looked like it should be fun (also I am a sucker for the Old West as a setting). I think, when I get to Nier, that I'm not going for all the endings. I'll probably Youtube them.

I love how much fun Lightning Returns is! And I love all the costumes, which is the main reason I really wanted to play it in the first place.

I do not mind you haunting my blog like a vocal ghost one bit! In fact, I'd be incredibly happy if you did :)

Yeah, the Youtube option is what I went with on the latter half of Nier's slate of endings. I won't go too in depth as to the reasons why; for now, I'll just say that they're all worth seeing, but the requirements are a little ridiculous.

Dressing up Lightning is more fun than I feel like it ought to be. Taking out major story mode bosses while flitting between a tux and an opulent ballroom dress...well, that's LR.
