if they don't know what you're doing, babe it must be art
I have been doing some music theory this morning, so I'm going to do a music meme! I nicked it from
halley, and am doing it in chunks of five questions at a time, like I did with the game meme.
I've taken the definition of song liberally, as some of these are instrumentals.
01: A song you would like your loved ones to play at your funeral
Out of Blue Comes Green by a-ha - I'm choosing this because of the sentiment of the song, which is that yeah, a bad thing has happened, but good things can come from that. Also, you know, a-ha. Who the heck wouldn't want Morten Harket singing at their funeral? ;)
(holy shit, listening to it now is making me cry, and that's literally never happened before).
02: A song that you find incredibly beautiful
Melo by Mosaik - this is a current fave.
But also Moonlight Sonata (Beethoven) - I'm including this as it was part of the music theory lessons I was doing earlier.
CHOOSING IS HARD, OK.
03: A song you would like people to listen to and think of you
Party Weirdo by Moloko - just listen to it and think of me, ok? ;)
04: A song that explains your first kiss
Tubthumping by Chumbawumba - because I was incredibly drunk at the time, and this is a song about getting drunk.
05: A song makes you turn up the volume up on your radio
Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me by U2 - Never. Fails. I know it's from the soundtrack of the second worst Batman film in existence, but it's a great song. Added to which, all of U2 agree it's the best thing they ever wrote.
