i will destroy any man who dares abuse my trust

I asked [personal profile] nintendoh to give me a letter for a meme, and he did! I got the letter S.

Pre-emptive spider warn, because I know I'm not the only arachnophobe here. Also discussion of eating habits.

Something I hate: Spiders. They don't even have to be actual real ones for it to work. Ones on the tv, internet, in books is bad enough. They have too many legs, and they move too fast.

Something I love: Sweets? Maybe? I am a mishmash of bad habits and coping mechanisms, and one of those bad habits is to eat sweets when I don't actually feel like eating, or to do that in lieu of eating something "proper". But I love sweets, jelly beans are my favourite, and I will eat almost any Haribos (although I'm allergic to something they put in them, so I try to avoid them but suuuuuugggggaaaaarrrrr).

Somewhere I've been: South Wales. We have family down there, near Newport (because that's where my mum's from), so we used to go and visit rellies. I have a lot of fond memories of being there - when I was old enough, I used to get let to go and cycle off on my own, so I explored a lot, and that was aces. Also that's the only place I ever found a slow worm (which is a legless lizard, not a snake) so also that was pretty cool?

Somewhere I'd like to go: is it cheating if I say South Wales again? I haven't been in sixteen years. I don't know as I'd go to visit family any more, because there's not a lot of them left (either dead or moved, or we're just not in touch with them). I think I'd go and explore places I've not been to but always wanted to. Also visiting Cardiff Castle again would be good, because I was only weeny the one time I went.

Someone I know: Huh. I do not know anyone's whose name starts with an S. >:| eta: HOLD IT YES I DO MY SISTER IN LAW. Her name is Sorita. She is from South Africa, and she is mother to my nephew. She speaks Afrikaans as her first language, English is her second, I think, but I'm not 100% sure. Whatever, she speaks it flawlessly. I'm glad she likes me, because she's one of those people you wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of. She loves books and my brother, so I guess she can't be a bad person, right?

A film I like: Speed. Because Keanu Reeves. I have the special edition DVDs. I need to watch it. It's not a clever film, nor does it pretend to be. And, you know, that's OK.

A book I like: ...I can't think of one. Ugh.

If you want a letter, hit me up! :)

Yeah, spiders don't go over too well in my house. My mom is allergic so I'm always called in to either kill or get rid of them by some other means. I usually kill them because I'm afraid of them jumping at me lol (but every other house invader I throw back outside).

I used to have a friend from South Africa who spoke Afrikaans! She was so annoying omg. Your sister in law sounds great though :">

Also I don't know how this meme works but I'm just gonna throw a letter out there... how about B?
