More Inquistion goings on!
(I swear this could be Specular Highlights: The Game. I mean yes, Bioware, it is nice that you can do them but I think you went a little overboard in some places and wow, pretty sure the army's armour doesn't need to be THAT blingy. But otherwise, good job guys).
I've spent a lot of time running around accumulating power (surprise, surprise). Also yeah, I think I'VE broken Leliana, too (and I got three power for it which makes me feel awful). So yes,
beccatoria, I totally know what you mean now. I did know it when I saw it and bloody hell she makes my blood run cold now. I mean she was pretty scary beforehand...wow.
On the other hand, the scenes with Cassandra and Varric and the book. I nearly cried laughing and I am honestly not kidding. That was amazing. (I got the variant of the scene with Dorian (I'd love to know what determines that). He says she tried to get him to read it, but he had to give up because it was awful. Which Varric willingly admits).
Also you know I said I'd been flirting with Cassandra on every given opportunity? She has this hilariously awkward scene where she said it was flattering and everything but she couldn't be with me because I was the inquisitor, and I was a woman, and she wasn't into that. So I said it was OK because it didn't mean anything (I was mostly doing it for my own amusement). I could practically feel the burning glow of her blushing from this side of the TV. But gosh I do love how embarrassed people are about being flirted with (I don't know about you, but it makes it more realistic for me).
Then I went and spoke to Blackwall and he fucked off somewhere, leaving me naught but a note pinned to his rocking griffon (I WANT ONE). My suspicions about him were correct (that he isn't who he says he is, but I got spoilt about that thanks to tumblr), but I certainly didn't get the why (he willingly sent his troops to die. I honestly thought it might have involved a child somewhere because of the griffon he was making, and I dunno that's the vibes I got from the story he tells about the dog). He has a very Yorkshire accent for someone who was traipsing about in Orlais, though. I thought everyone in Orlais spoke with impossibly French accents.
I did What Pride Has Wrought at level 15, which is one level lower than recommended, so I'm continuing on in that direction. I let Morrigan have the knowledge from the well. I'm going to live to regret that, aren't I? Also it was hilarious, because I took Solas, and every time Morrigan offered her opinion on Elven culture, he was all, "HOW VERY DARE YOU".
(As I've said, I don't like Morrigan, so seeing her get some come-uppance was good. I also liked that she wasn't entirely right about everything, too).
And now I've seen that statue of Fen'Harel I'm seeing them everywhere and my gut response is, "WHO'S A GOOD PUPPY THEN??" Which. Yeah.
I didn't like that puzzle in the Temple of Mythal though. You know the one. Where you are forced to use tactical view to make it work? YEAH THAT ONE.
I thought the run up to the temple felt very end-gamey. It reminded me a lot of Virmire (also Ilos, but mostly Virmire), so I suppose that should've clued me in that it wasn't quite the end. I like it, though. The Arbor Wilds are very pretty. (Who I am kidding, the whole game is pretty. And, actually, a lot about this game reminds me of Mass Effect but I have this theory, anyway. That Dragon Age is Mass Effect in a fantasy setting, and Mass Effect is Dragon Age in a sci-fi setting. That's not entirely it, but it is the essentials).
I'm going to try to complete personal quests before I speak to Morrigan to start the next part (assuming speaking to her starts anything. I might have to accumulate MORE POWER first). Partly because previous Bioware experience has me worried (though certain people can go whistle). Although doing Vivienne's is proving a pain in the arse because I can't even find a way round to the freaking wyvern yet (I repaired a bridge, killed some undead, thinking that was the way round. NOPE. I think it's down a cave I dismissed earlier. SIGH). I didn't even find any of the notes about Samson for Cullen because I didn't know I'd be beating the shit out Samson in the Temple of Mythal (I didn't think he was that important. OH WELL).
Oh and: I'm unsure how well my world state imported because a) Morrigan seems to think my warden romanced her (um no. just the god baby ritual, that was all) and b) Zevran is dead. I know he is dead, I saw him die. He didn't even turn up in DA2 because he is dead. I checked he was marked as being so and yet today I got two missions involving him. I DON'T EVEN KNOW ANY MORE.
