YAY SHITTY MOOD WITH TEARS.

(this is especially irritating after a great afternoon where I looked up stuff about languages and listened to a German radio station online (it's called Radio Alpenmelodie for anyone who's interested, though it may not be to everyone's tastes. I liked it) ).

PFFT. FUCK YOU, MOODS. WHAT EVEN ARE YOU.

(I'll be better after sleep, no doubt. Sleep cures all ills).

I feel better now. Think I just needed something to eat. GODDAMNIT BLOOD SUGAR STOP DOING THIS TO ME.

I am currently playing Fable II again. Because I can. I'm supposed to be being horribly evil, and I can't do it (entirely). I am also killing everything with fire, because why the hell not? (The game keeps saying, "Oh, but you can afford this spell now!" and I'm all, "I DON'T WANT THAT SPELL IT'S NOT FIRE") (in fact the only other thing I am using my EXP for is HP because fuck that shit I'm not using weapons if I can help it) (even if they do help out a bit when you're completely surrounded).

My dude did have horns, but has since lost them because he keeps eating celery (making the switch to potions soon, but I've got to get rid of all that food I keep stealing finding in other people's houses). Already I am up to having to go to the Spire to find Garth (I don't wanna!) so I'm avoiding it by doing sidequests instead. Which I believe is what I did last time, but I didn't document it, so who knows?

I've also spent three days being utterly distracted by languages on tumblr. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW PEOPLE RAN LANGUAGE BLOGS ON THERE. I didn't know why they would! But they do! And it's glorious!

(Finally: I have sort of given up on Gurren Langan for the time being. I've just not been bothered to watch it, and I've been doing other things. I might take it up again when I am back at work (off till the 6th of Jan, wheeeeeee!)

I've never played Fable II but III instead. |D;; I had 32 kids and I set people on fire just because they booed me in public and HOW DARE THEY HAVE A NEGATIVE OPINION OF THEIR KING. Yet I was always glittery and white because even though people hated me all to hell (reason: I bought EVERY property, fixed it up, decked it out, and raised the rent SUPER high) all the money I made being the biggest asshole Monopoly has ever seen would be thrown into the kingdom's coffers.

And when asked about the moral choice of me taking from it, I always left it because "shit man, I got $8,000,000 just sitting in my pocket right now, why do I need to take from the $24,000,000 I have sitting in the treasury?!"

Therefore, I was the morally good king who was an asshole somehow. FABLE LOGIC IS FUCKED UP.

OH, ALIGNMENT. I HATE YOU SO...

Say whaaaat, no way, D&D logic totally makes sense! XD; One can be totally lawful/evil! Plays by the rules so no one has a 'legit' reason for disliking them, just their morals are horrible! "As King, I will GLADLY keep to the tradition of allowing the citizens to drink as much as they want...and sit back and watch them murder each other in drunken stupor! C'EST LA VIE, BITCHES"

Actually as I recall there are numerous and stupid arguments about alignment in D&D all the time |D; I played a 3.5E Oriental Adventures campaign once where I was a Nezumi monk, and I played her solidly as lawful/good, but the problem that the DM found that he and my husband (who argued on my behalf because he knew I didn't fully understand the alignment system at the time) argued a LOT about the actions I did during game.
My sheet says: lawful/good
I played: lawful/good
Difference: my Nezumi, who came from a society deemed harsher than that of the humans (see: you steal, you get a hand cut off kind of laws), followed the laws of her people in human territory, though was still quite lenient. She caught someone stealing, she gave them fair warning before she pummeled them |D; Partially because she was a monk in training and the like as well.
Human NPCs on the other hand still saw her as quite barbaric, so said DM argued "change to chaotic/good" to which my husband leaped in before I had a word and said "fuck no, it's still lawful even if it's not THIS society's law".

And so on and so forth. I think they spent an hour arguing it actually |D;; The DM was my brother-in-law LOL.

Fable totally doesn't have it as refined as D&D |D;; and the problem with D&D is the people who play it tend to take the rules and the context of their individual games and debate the refined points of the alignment system.

Johnathan loathes alignment debates because it's so ugly to deal with, every case is so different and even then sometimes one's opinion can change the fine lines! So frustrating XD
