Urgh, I've just had a horrible two days. I'm not going into details because I just want to get past it. Anyway, I had to go and visit a family friend yesterday, as I did a favour for her (and got paid for it! Even though I told her no, I didn't want paying), and when I came back, I had a nap, and that kind of fixed me! I mean, I don't feel amazing, but I didn't feel like I wanted to cry at the drop of a hat any more, so that's good.

I'm trying to be sensible for the moment, and I've put the money aside to go towards my National Insurance contributions for the last six months. You know, instead of spending it on something I want. Because I am an adult and I can be responsible! (Which, honestly, I don't often feel like that).

Actually thinking about taking out a Netflix subscription. Not that I can afford it, but eh.

It kind of makes me laugh, actually, since when they were showing ads when Netflix became available in the UK, I was all, "Nah, I don't want it. I don't need it. Why would I want it?" and since then...yeah...

I have no desire to finish P4. It's been ages since I played it last and...nah. Can't be bothered. Part of it's down to the fact that, while I like it because it's a Megaten, and also a murder mystery (to some extent), I don't like the majority of the characters, and that includes ones I did like four years ago (so pretty much I only like Kanji and wow, really, that's it. I feel like I should feel awful, but I really don't. I knew I didn't like the majority of the characters four years ago, and that hasn't changed).

I'm totally with you on the Netflix subscription. I don't have cable, so it is an attractive option. When my roommate leaves, she'll take the Netflix with her!

I hate having to be an adult and put money aside. I put money aside for medications each month to make sure I don't spend it on food. Ewww.

We've got a satellite subscription, but there's usually so little I want to watch, and I've recently got into the habit of streaming TV while I work, so I might as well use a service that's likely to have stuff I want to see (I mean, I can't watch anime ALL the time, right? ;) ) Although eek to your roommate taking the Netflix with her! I bet that'll be hard to adjust to.

Ugh, I know. I was going to say that I hate being responsible, but most of the time, I don't. It's just when I have to do the really boring things like saving money for bills and so on.
I have no idea what prescription prices are like in America, but I imagine they're more expensive?

When the roommate goes, I'll just have to get Netflix for myself. Or I can find a new roommate that has it. My current roommate piggy backs off her boyfriend, actually; he made a profile for us on his account.

America doesn't have price controls for prescriptions. I have to buy two prescriptions of Cymbalta each month to take my prescribed dosage since the FDA doesn't approve it. (My mother took Cymbalta for three months but had to quit because it cost entirely too much; with her insurance she still had to pay $70 per bottle.) I take Lunesta, which as far as I know doesn't have a generic, but I've had bad reactions with other sleep aides. At least my birth control is free. I also have to budget for massages since they are as important as Cymbalta to help me manage my fibromyalgia. Healthcare expenses are ridiculous.

WOW HOW MUCH? O_O I mean, I knew prices were high because you guys don't have a national health service, and insurance only covers so much but wow. That's just crazy.

Also Netflix will pull you in and never let you go even if you want it to. My husband and I pay for both Netflix and an autonomizer for the month, so for about $13 we can watch just about anything we want on Netflix from the states (we're Canadian and Canadian netflix sucks) |D; in the end, it's cheaper than us paying for cable.

Exactly! Things are better now - still in a vague grump, but that'll pass eventually, too.

Eheheheh, yeeeeahhhh, I figured that might be the case. Although I'm finding with stuff I'm streaming at the moment that it's difficult to know what to choose - but am I right in thinking that Netflix suggests stuff based on what you've watched? That might help me out a bit. But right now I can't afford it :( (Also I'm with you on the autonomizer - I don't know what UK Netflix is like, so then at least I'd have the option of the US one :D )
