we might just have some fun if it stops raining

Hmm, onto my second doll design. It's an improvement on version #1, but it still has problems. On the other hand, I've learnt stuff in making both dolls so far (best trick learnt yesterday was a flat spiral). Maybe the third one will be the charm.

(I will totally post pictures of at least #1 and #2, when 2's finished. Nearly there, but not quite. Got a foot and two arms to do).

I also managed to get some proper stuffing from town, so I will be able to make versions to sell \o/ (basically that means whatever stuffed toys I make can be washed. Which will be beneficial if small children are involved).

I saw some new yarn in town that I wanted, too. But I really think I have got enough, no matter how amazing this new stuff is. And it is.

I am fascinated by stars and astronomy, in case you didn't know (if you did, uh, sorry for repeating myself). I own various stuff with stars on, and my bedroom ceiling is covered in day-glo stars (I should be ashamed to admit that at my age, but I'm really not). So yeah. I also like stuff that resembles stars (possibly why I am easily distractable with shiny stuff?) Well, this new yarn - it comes in greys, and blacks, and completely boring colours, but it has sequins woven in with it.

Which basically means that when you knit or crochet it, it looks like the night sky.

DO WANT.

(I wish I could say that this blog's not going to turn into yarnbenders anonymous, but I shouldn't make promises I can't keep).

Hrmpf. Grump. Grump. I kind of want some inspiration. But I don't know exactly what I want to inspire me, so I don't really know what to look for. (Well, thinking about it now, I kind of do and I don't. I want to do some Scandinavian inspired stuff (because spiritually, I think I am Norwegian, despite having never been anywhere near the country, heh), but after that? *shrugs*

I'll figure it out, eventually. But if you know any good places to get inspiration on the interwebs, I'd be happy to hear about them c:
