(no subject)

(I need an ME icon...Hrm).

Actual comments on Mass Effect; I'm really sorry, but all I'm doing is reposting my tweets on the subject. But as you probably know, and the tag points out, coherency is not my strong point. And ME is certainly robbing me of any remaining coherency I had.

Apologies to anyone who's read all this before, although there are some extra thoughts that there isn't space for or that I didn't think of at the time.

How I feel about the codex: "I'm sure there's interesting stuff in here, I just can't be bothered to read it."

Also I do not like Husks. They move too fast.

Citadel Council are dicks. Garrus seems like a sound guy. Also got too excited on seeing my first Krogan.

I believe the noise I made was: "EEEE!"

([livejournal.com profile] tlc010: this is the proper response. Krogans 4 life)

I could listen to Wrex all day, and I like the Elcor a lot.

Finally got to the bit where I am free to roam the galaxy and cause chaos. Uh, I mean, save people.

Also it's nice to play a protagonist over the age of 21 and who is nearer my actual age.

(Author's note: Shepard is 29 in the first game. I'm also aware that I have played games where the protagonist is over 21, but they're the exception rather than the rule, and that's kind of a shame)

Mass Relays look like a cross between Stargates and that thing out of Event Horizon.

Also saw a Thresher Maw for the first time and promptly shat myself when the bloody thing followed me. *shudders*

([livejournal.com profile] tlc010: IT JUST WANTS TO SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING COME BACK IT WANTS TO SEE IF YOU'RE FREE LATER WAIT DON'T GO)

if that's so, maybe it shouldn't gob all over me.

([livejournal.com profile] tlc010: when it gets excited, it spits a little. you'll get used to it.)

I can't decide if I like Garrus or Wrex better. Wrex is currently winning. I think it's 'cause he's snarky.

(A/N: now they're level pegging. Although Garrus is more guilty of pointing out the obvious when we've just wiped out a bunch of Geth. Wrex just snarks about it)

Why didn't the quarians just tell the geth there was no silicone heaven? Surely that would've worked?

Might have worked for Deckard too. Maybe. Would've been a less interesting film though.

(A/N: I am still imagining Deckard pulling this on Roy. Or maybe that dude with the 'tache whose name I can't remember. I think it would be hilarious!)

Why is it that I'm only 5 hrs into Mass Effect, and already have a bunch of ideas for stupid fanart? I mean REALLY STUPID fanart.

(A/N: and now I'm drawing some of it. On paper, my Shep seems to despair of her crew...)

If I could at all draw Krogans (hint: I can't), then you'd get to witness it.

([livejournal.com profile] tlc010 suggested I try drawing Krogans anyway because they're fun. And I am. Because they are, but I can't get the hang of them yet)

Why does it lend itself to daft ideas so easily? Or do I just want to take the piss out of all sci-fi? (Farscape had this effect on me, too)

(A/N: tru fax. Why can't I take sci-fi seriously?!)

LMAO the Mako has fallen over and it can't get up.

(A/N: I have photographic proof. It fell over on its back in a tight spot and I literally spent ten minutes levering it back upright, while wondering if I'd have to quit the mission and restart from my last save)

And finally:

Just learnt you can mow geth down with the Mako. Sweet!

(A/N: And you STILL get EXP for it! Obviously I will not be doing it all the time, because it's probably the easiest way to commit suicide, amirite?)

But I was right, I did miss it and, although sometimes the fights make me headdesk a bit (I'm just not used to shooters at all, and the concept of taking cover is beyond me), I am really REALLY enjoying it. Best buy this year (and best fandom this year? Possibly, but it's only March, so we'll wait and see, eh?)
