miserere mei, deus
So finally I have a 360 that works! \o/
I went back to Game, woefully explained what happened, and they gave me an Elite (which I had to pay a little extra for, but it was negligible and at least it works!) So I've spent the last however long playing FFXIII. Which, I will say, I really love, and I think the battle system is cool.
The game itself reminds me a lot of X. There's something about the landscapes and feel of it that makes it like X. And the music, in a lot of cases. I really REALLY like the music. It's awesome. I need the soundtrack.
I like all the characters. Even Snow, who is our resident dumb lummox, and even Hope, who spends about the first third of the game being a whining pile of emo. Fortunately he recovers from that, and now he's kind of kickass. Bless 'im. The only character I don't really like is Serah, but I guess that's a) down to her voice actress and b) she's not in the game much, so you don't really get a chance to form much of an opinion about her.
I think Vanille is my favourite character (I haven't had Fang long enough to comment, but man, she is so pretty).
I got stuck on the first fight against Barthandelus for literally days (there's two more coming up at indistinct points in the future). And then I formulated a plan while I was walking to the train station after work today, and it worked! *dances*
I haven't got the hang of weapons/accessories upgrades AT ALL (no surprise there, then), and I still really don't know how Gestalt Mode when summoning works (but I've barely used the summons, and only then I've used Odin).
OH OH AND. This game has made me weepy so much! Although I doubt the part where Vanille is asking Sazh if he hates everything to do with Pulse would've made me so teary if I hadn't already known certain spoilers about Vanille).
And that's really all I have to say at the moment because it's kind of overwhelming, and I have a cold, so my brain feels like crud. (Although I will say it's hilarious that there's voice acting the ENTIRE TIME. I LOVE IT. Yes, I am late to this novelty. No, I don't care).
Also I bought Mass Effect, and it is all
tlc010's fault. That, and I looked it up on Wikipedia and it looked interesting.
