let it snow

As you may gather by the fact that this entry has appeared on your flists at all, I am not out partying with my work colleagues in Halifax. Because it snowed last night (it wasn't supposed to) and not only were the buses fucked, so were the trains.

In a way, I'm sad I didn't go, but on the other hand, I hate this sort of weather, and I'd rather be safe at home than sliding about on my arse fifteen miles away and waiting till god knows when for a train.

So. Feeling a bit like a cow, but there we go.

In other news, Echoes of Time came! The reason it was delayed, aside from the weather? It came from Greece! o_O

It's cool though, and I definitely like it. Which is good. Been playing on it for most of the afternoon (apart from when a surprise nap snuck up on me). I have little to no idea what's going on (because I haven't got very far), and a gender-swapped team from Ring of Fates (which is to say my Clavat and Selkie are female and my Lilty's male. I don't have a Yuke yet).

And on a further FF note, an FF Friday Five (from here)

Questions:

1. A scene that made you cry. Or several, if there's more than one that you can think of, because I know I have more than one (actually like 1000000000000 XDDD)

2. Favorite world map/game world layout

3. Characters from different FF games that you think should totally hook up if there was a crossover.

4. Most annoying NPC

5. If you could live in any FF location, which would it be and why?

Answers:

1. When Red XIII discovers that Seto didn't desert his family after all (FFVII). That never fails to make me cry. Also the ending of FFX.

2. VII's because it was the first one I ever saw. There is another one, which I thought was pretty logical in its progression from area to area, but I can't remember which one it was. XII's I love, despite some of its geological inconsistencies.

3. Auron and Cid (Highwind) - I can totally imagine the pair of them bitching about their respective charges. Rydia and Yuna - I'm sure the former could teach the latter about summoning and kicking arse ;) Maybe throw Eiko in for the lulz (she could probably teach 'em BOTH a thing or two, right?) Any and all Moogles.

4. Hrm. Tobli (annoying). Mewt (sore loser).

5. Treno would be cool (lots to explore!), and...I can't think of anywhere else, which is tragic, because I'm sure there's somewhere I would want to live.

OMG, this entry has been sitting here for four hours and I haven't thought of anything else interesting to say. Oh well. Probably time I went and burnt my eyeballs playing more Echoes of Time before I go to sleep, right?
