--There is a 200-point achievement for beating an optional mega-boss that is plot-limited (i.e. progress the plot past X and you can't fight it) --There is a 200-point achievement for completing all sidequests, of which this optional boss is a part --There is ALSO a 200-point achievement for fighting a fancy version of the final boss, available only if you completed all sidequests
So 600 achievement points--aka 60% of total available achievements--rely on one fucking megaboss hell fight and I am so very mad. (Compare Lost Odyssey, where no matter what you do, if you beat the game, you get 50% of the achievement points.)
