Nice to see Dragon Age fans are doing the same old, same old without me.

(When they're nice to each other, it's amazing, as it is with any fandom, but they spend so much time being arseholes to each other that I just can't be bothered).

Dragon Age remains one of those series that I've only touched on -- I've made it partway into all three games, but never completed any -- and, as a result, I'm just not familiar with the fandom, outside of encountering a few nice folks on here through other fandoms that just happen to be in DA fandom as well.

That said, as the next Fire Emblem game approaches its 2/19 release, hostility between different elements of the fandom has reached a fever pitch, so I feel like I might understand.

The most part of the DA fans are decent, but the minority who are the shits are vocal and destructive. I mean, I know every fandom has their spats and so on, but I honestly can't think of one as bad as this?* (And yeah, the DA fans on here I know are all nice - the nasty ones all seem to congregate on tumblr).

*That said, I've heard it said about some SMT fans (for example), but I've never encountered it myself whereas with the DA stuff, I have.
