AW YISS FOUND IT!
A few days ago, while listening to a radio station stream that plays chiptunes, I heard a cover of Equinoxe V (the original is Jean-Michel Jarre, in case you're not familiar with his stuff). It was really pretty good!
Anyway, after some searching, I've found it available here on Google Music - you can hear a ten second preview, but you need to sign in with a google account to download it. But it's worth it (and it's free!)
(I was only half-listening, but I knew what it was immediately when I heard it, without looking at the stream information).
