i love you all the same

I have done everything that can possibly be done in Lightning Returns. I have six days left over (I've used six already), so all I'm doing now is running around completing side quests (badly. Like, I really wish the game would drop clues as to the locations of some things with the harder quests but eh, I guess that's why they're hard). I have already made three species extinct (I kind of don't like that!) I've killed three cactuars, and they're too easy? The cactair was more like I expect cactuar fights to be, but overclock+army of one took care of that.

Earth Eaters are way harder when there's only one of you fighting.

I'm in a much better mood than the other day, although I'm still dissatisfied with tumblr.

I remembered that the Matrix fans I was friends with were chill and well-behaved, as were the X-Men fans I talked to. And the Hellblazer fans. And the FF fans I've known through my life have been great, too. So maybe it's just some people on tumblr? *shrugs*

(I'm still fucked off about not having any more DA:I DLC, though, because I've got a 360 rather than an Xbone. And I will not be able to afford an Xbone ANY TIME SOON so *flips tables*)
(Admittedly, I haven't bought Jaws of Hakkon yet, but my interest in that is waning because of the above).

For two days in a row, I went for a walk in the woods, in the same part of woodland. The first time it was because I'd had a banging migraine all day, and it cured it (probably distracted me from the pain). I took a load of photos. I stood by a stream, and listened to the water, and the wind in the trees. The second time I went because I'd gone to visit a friend, but they weren't in. I didn't want to go home because the weather was nice, and I thought I should be enjoying it, so I went back to the woods. And I took some more photos. It was really calming, and I honestly wish there was more of the woodland round here where I felt safe to do that (I only don't because I am unfamiliar with them), or that were as wooded areas (the nearest part to my house is too near civilisation, and I'm picky).

I also discovered some red brick ruins, and I'm going to investigate them one day when I feel a bit braver (they were a bit out of my comfort zone in location). There's only one wall, but it just looks so modern that I'm curious (there are older ruins nearby). I suspect it was once part of the farm it's close to, but I don't know for sure, and I doubt there's many people I could ask.

Yeah, in addition to some unrelated technical issues (no party banter in open areas, at all), that news of the 360/PS3 just Not Getting Any More DLC irks me. I've basically set the game aside, which is a shame because I got fifteen hours in (I got to Skyhold, basically) and had a lot of fun before finding out that the banter WAS in the game, I just wasn't GETTING it.

Yeah, it seems really fun! There's occasional slowdown, which I expected for a last gen version of a game that was pretty transparently built for current gen consoles, but the combat is enjoyable and everything is just so very, very pretty.

That said, yeah, the absence of banter...sigh. The only exceptions are banter segments that happen in main plot quests. So, I won't get any in the "open world" at all, but I'll get the ones that happen during, say, the sack of Haven, or the trip to the future with Dorian.

Can I join you in the table flipping? It doesn't help that Jaws of Hakkon seems pretty throwaway compared to the other two as well... *sigh* The worst part is, I probably will shell out for another copy once I eventually get my hands on a PS4, just so I can see the ending we should have got in the first place!

The Descent actually has some interesting lore info regarding the dwarves (and nugs), I think? I'm hardly a fan of the Deep Roads either, given the amount of giant spiders in there, but they're apparently in all of the DLC so I can't avoid the blasted things! :( In JoH, you get to judge a bear. I'm sure there's more of interest in it, but...

I'll admit I avoided a lot of content in the Storm Coast because that's where most of them lurk (there was one time I got jumped just outside a cave and just started screaming while holding the attack button... I am a pathetic gamer. XD) For most part though, they're pretty easily avoidable, and I liked that! I got horribly traumatized by the monstrous variety in II... ;_;

Ditto, and I was actually looking for spoilers!
