(no subject)

So last night, I'm chilling out in bed, reading twitter before I go to sleep. The cat is chilling beside me. I am reading about how one of my friends is evicting a spider from his room because UGH SPIDERS.

Then I hear this tapping noise, like something tapping on paper, and I'm all, "Oh, it's OK, it's probably a moth got trapped behind one of my pictures." I go back to twitter.

The tapping noise continues.

I look up and, out of nowhere, is a rather large spider, on the wall at the foot of my bed. It's sitting on one of the pictures, hence the tapping noise. Of course, I am startled by this. I shove myself to the other end of the bed, as far away from it as possible. It descends the wall a little, then stops.

The cat wonders what all the fuss is about.

I realised that it was probably coming down the wall, and so that would mean it would either get on my bed, or be near it. And so I had to do something. The first thing I did was switch the big light on, because all I had on was my lamp. The spider looked like it was mostly legs from that, so I thought maybe it was no big deal, and I could put it out of the window.

It wasn't until I got closer to it, that I realised yeah, it was quite leggy, but also its body was fairly big and oh my god now I had it in my hands and if I drop this cup or move this cardboard, it will fall out and it will run somewhere, and oh god no this must not happen.

My hands were shaking the entire time. I'm so glad the window I chose to put it out of was already open, so all I had to do was push it a bit more open with my forearm before I ejected it.

I was shaking for some time afterwards (because spider), and then I couldn't fall asleep for ages because I felt all jumpy, and so I've had a bad night's sleep. UGH. I hate spiders.

IN OTHER NEWS: I beat the boss I was stuck on, after reading lots of condescending advice from Stop Having Fun Guys.

Then I spent an embarrassingly long time trying to help someone else, and I'm about to run out of days (literally on the last day now. Though I've managed to accrue ten days, so that's pretty good, I think!)

Yeah, I wasn't sure what to do about the Angel of Valhalla. Helping him heal is great, but frustrating (lots of running about here and there - I suppose this is where one is supposed to use the heck out of Chronostasis, since the Wildlands is a humongous area). I am now stuck in Poltae, because there's a notif telling me I can advance, Hope told me I can advance, but the elder in the village seems to think the chocobo isn't healed yet so I can't fly (which is ridiculous because I can). Basically I spent half an hour banging my head against a brick wall because I don't know what to do to fix this.

(I'm going to google it, is what I'm going to do. Before I cause myself an apoplexy or something).

(Actually it turns out I'm doing the right thing, but I can't make that first bloody jump. I hate shit like this that's harder than it ought to be for whatever reason. Or, I suppose I should say, that I feel is harder than it should be).
