I've got Skype going again, so my ID: rootsandbones
though I'll probably only add you if I know who you are/you tell me who you are. I have a pending request from someone, but I don't know the name so??? Tell me who you are??
I also made an ask.fm account, so ask me shit: ask.fm/rootsandbones

In lieu of finishing The Last Remnant (I think I ran out of steam or something?) or finishing replaying FFIX or something, I started replaying The World Ends With You for the fifth or so time. I love this game like cake, and for whatever reason, summer/autumn makes me think about playing it. So I got out the DS and I damn well started playing it again.
(Also I wish I had more handheld systems because lugging the Xbox/PS2 up and down stairs is not my idea of fun. All I have is the DS, A GBA, and an original flavour Gameboy. I've got three games for the GB/GBA, and approx ten for the DS and that's my lot. I keep trying to find more games for the DS, but I dunno, there never seems to be anything I really want any more).
(I did want to start saving for a PSP at one point, but if I'm saving for anything now, it's a down payment on a new computer because I think this one is not so good any more :( ).
That aside, I am watching an LP of Silent Hill 3 while crocheting a sweater for myself. I'm finding the LP really boring, though. I don't know if that's because Heather doesn't seem to be doing a lot, or interacting a lot, or if the LPer himself is just boring but...I dunno. Totally not feeling it. (It's the same guy who did an SH2 LP that I watched last year, and I liked that one, but I think James gets more interaction with other characters. SH3 reminds me a lot more of 0rigins, where Travis is fetch-questing for no reason, and getting talked at. Heather, at least, talks back to the people who talk to her, but there's a whole lot of nothing in this game, to my mind).
I think I might torture myself by watching the Shattered Memories one next.

I love Silent Hill 3, and Heather is my favourite character. That said, I think SH2 had a more interesting storyline and, now that I think about it, there is more interaction between characters. SH3 made me feel a lot more isolated, which is probably why I find it much scarier. I think it's one of those games that are fun to play but boring to watch.

Thanks for the questions! :)
I love Heather! Because of her story, and who she is, and I like that she's very human in her reactions (I also love her and Harry being all dad/daughter because YES. I love that sort of thing very much). But yeah, most of this LP is the guy doing it beating up numbbodies and...it's about as entertaining as that. Also I don't know if it's just me but, where James' monsters made sense because of his subconscious, Heather's don't seem to? So there isn't even that element to keep me interested. But yeah, SH2 definitely was more interesting story-wise.
(I could spew forth about Silent Hill and my Opinions all day, given half a chance ;) so sorry for kind of going off on one there!)

(I haven't given up on it yet, but I haven't watched any more since I wrote this entry).
