Last night I went out and listened to some music and was sociable! Admittedly it wasn't for very long (not much more than an hour or so), I didn't go very far, and there were a lot of people I knew, but that's OK. I do like going to listen to live local musicians, and I haven't done that properly for many years (I think the last time was a shocking EIGHT years ago). I mean sometimes Jackie sings me stuff she's written, or gets me to listen to stuff she's recorded, but it's not the same (no disrespect to Jackie, though. I love listening to her sing, and she writes such ridiculous songs and I LOVE IT).

I am currently sidequesting in The Last Remnant. I happened to pick the two most annoying quests today, however (outside of an escort mission, one of which I did the other day). One was "run about across this huge area" and the other was "exterminate all of X type enemy" which. UGH. Oh, although I did do one of Blocter's personal quests, which I should've left for a bit because I only won the battle by the skin of my teeth. (The Random Number God of this game does not like me very much).

beccatoria were going to a convention somewhere (odd because I don't know what she looks like as we've never met in real life). Presumably there were other friends there, but I don't really know or remember. I said I wasn't paying to go in to the con unless Mark Hamill was going to be there. WELL GUESS HOW PREDICTABLE MY BRAIN IS. Only I guess because I watched A New Hope last weekend, he looked like he did then. Then the remainder of the dream was, like, arsing about at the con, as I would normally.
I guess that dream happened because last weekend (? the weekend before?) was Otakon, and a lot of people I follow on tumblr go to it, so obviously I saw a lot of pics from there. I posted on twitter about how much it makes me miss going to cons (which is partially lack of chances/friends to go with, but mostly money). I miss being at cons anyway, because I really enjoyed the atmosphere and good times that were had (for the most part; I have had bad experiences), but seeing the posts from Otakon made me REALLY miss it. Maybe if I start saving now, I can go when I am a super grumpy old dude. Yup. Sounds like a plan.
