I feel like my ability to read German just levelled up. I was reading a blog with a knitting pattern (in English, but the writer was a German speaker), and I understood most of the comments in German!
I may not be able to construct many sentences (or, at least, not useful ones), but my comprehension is way better than it was. (I don't sit here any more panicking the moment I see written German any more, anyway).
