I don't actually have much to say about Raithwall's Tomb, because I played it when very tired (you might note that this is a recurring theme throughout this run. My insomnia, let me show you it). The most I have to say is that the Dawn Shard looks like a sea urchin. I know this is a fact because my mum owns a sea urchin shell, and it looks like the Dawn Shard. So. Unless I am heir to a desert kingdom, that ain't nethicite, it's a sea urchin.

I wondered in an earlier entry if Vossler spoke as tersely to Ashe, and he does, but she replies in the same way. Also he is still an outright dick, and nothing you can say will make me think otherwise.
I'm curious to know why senates in fantasty-esque settings are always old men. ALWAYS.
The way Gramis says that Larsa adores Vayne makes me wonder if he thinks Larsa is misguided, but I don't know why he'd suddenly be having feelings about his son(s). This is also the scene where we learn that the two elder Solidor boys were murdered at Gramis' request (for reasons we don't learn until later from AN NPC AT THAT! Although we do learn who did it). Gramis seems to run on what he views as loyalty, rather than familial bonds. IDK RIGHT NOW.
The scene with Ashe and Rasler's ghost takes place in the Nabreus Deadlands, which I didn't realise until the last time I played, because I think you can visit the almost exact place (I think it's where that one Nu Mou hangs out near the entrance from...the Salikawood?) Anyway, I guess it makes sense because she's thinking about the nethicite, what she can do with it (and what has been done in the past, no doubt), and Nabudis is just up the road from where she's standing.
The only sidequest I was doing was Ktjn's (need to go back and talk to her again, actually), because I've never knowingly finished it. I say "was", because I did July's for the first time in forever.
I bought a freaking bowgun for Fran (to finally get her off guns) in Jahara, and then Supinelu FREAKING GIVES ME ONE WHEN I LEAVE. I had entirely forgotten that, and man, did I feel stupid.
Larsa is level 22 (think he arrives +2 whatever the highest levelled character is?)
I find it interesting that Basch is the one who gets to explain locations/where the party's going, but I suspect it's because it's in his interests to know Dalmasca's surrounding lands. I thought that it is also possible that he's been to some of them before. See also: the info dump he gives about the oil platforms in the Ogir-Yensa.

Also introducing Zargabaath: voiced by the Angel of Death.
(yes, that's right. I know Simon Templeman from a terrible TV show rather than other voice acting he's done).
Neither of Fran's sisters sound like her, and that bugs me. I suppose at least Mjrn and Jote sound kind of like each other?
I am now starting to get to the point where enemies are the same level as Basch, or a couple of levels above. Sort of OK for now, but I guess it had to happen some time (actually later than I thought). It was nice to not get wasted by stuff on the Ozmone Plains or have to leg it across there for once.
I have nothing to say about Jahara.
The Henne Mines - pronounced Hen-uh, like Lenne (Len-uh), which I had forgotten. I've been calling them the Hen Mines for forever now. Which is an interesting mental image. I got slightly lost and confused. Hands up who is surprised?
Aside: I'm assuming the Zodiac Stones from Tactics and the Esper summoning stones are the same thing? I guess I will have to play Tactics (I'm actually looking into a PSP and War of Lions, but I honestly can't afford it, even though I want it ;_; )
OH WOW. The fight with Tiamat went REALLY BADLY. Got my first boss related Game Over :(
Now to grind for LP.
I managed to get the Loxely Bow and poison arrows from the Bazaar (fuck knows how), and I've managed to DOUBLE Basch's damage output, and I think that's beautiful.
Fran, as noted above, is now using crossbows. Penelo is on katana, although eventually she will be on ninja swords.
I beat Tiamat the second time, and it was much easier, and I'm not really sure what I did differently.
FUCKING ELDER WYRM.
Sporefall is a cheat, isn't it?
YES SECOND TIME LUCKY. SAVE GAME. GO HOME.
I got the Longbow from the Bazaar for the burning arrows (though I sold the bow back to Tetran). I meant to equip them for the Elder Wyrm fight, and totally forgot. Anyway, it doesn't matter now because I WON.
Because I haven't done anything with Vaan, he has 950+ LP. Ashe has ~910, maybe?
And that's about where I am now :)
