Things in no order:
~ I'm on the third of seven of the Harry Potter books, although I keep forgetting to read because I think I should be doing other things (my brain is a ridiculous place).
~ German pronouns are kicking my butt. In other news, I started revising French and am whooshing through that like a boss. I took the test on Duolingo and managed to test out on five of the first set of skills, and levelled up to level four already, which pleased me so much (I wish I could've got the whole bunch, but never mind).
(French sounds and looks REALLY WEIRD now. And WAY more Latin-esque than I've ever thought).
~ I had a totally awkward conversation with an old crush yesterday! (He's old in more ways than one - in that I've had a crush on him for ten years or more, and also I think he's got AT LEAST twenty years on me*. Heh). I mean, I didn't say anything stupid, but I did kind of want the floor to open up and swallow me.
(Does that ever get not awkward? I don't think it does. I always hoped it would, when I was younger, but alas, no).
(Mind you, he came over to talk to mum, and just happened to get me into the bargain).
~ Talking of which, my mum is in rude** health! She had her annual health check yesterday, and everything is shiny! Go, mum! \o/
~ I wish Kill La Kill would stop making me asdfghjkl; (although actually a part of me likes that because even though it's fucking RIDICULOUS (and it is), that means I'm into it more than I thought).
If you don't think KLK is fucking ridiculous, I don't even want to know.
~*~
*I thought it was ten, but then he happened to mention what he was up to thirty years or so ago, and it wasn't sitting exams while in high school, soooooo...
**I question the use of this as an adjective here (I mean, I know it is one, but what the hell is it supposed to mean?), but I really wanted use it, so I did.

French irks me because it isn't phonetic. Blech. Why do singulars and plurals have to sound the same though spelled differently? Just like present tense verb conjugations? Oh well, it most likely was French that did the same to English, making most of our verb conjugations the same when the conjugate endings fell off in verbal in-distinction.

See, I don't have that problem in French (except perhaps when listening and then writing down because my listening skills have always been naff), but I started learning French at the age of nine/ten, and never really questioned it, just accepted it as fact. I kind of like it and, for whatever reason, it amuses me. Although I can totally see why you would find it frustrating, though.
