I hadn't checked out the new Flickr design when I said I didn't like it last night. I'm still on the side of "I don't like it", but find it hellishly amusing that when I went to look at it this morning, I suddenly discovered that I now have a terabyte of storage for my photos! (As does every other user, I am not some weirdly special case).

Because the limit on storage was one of the things that annoyed me. I would have liked to purchase more but, as it was, I couldn't afford it. I still can't, but now I don't have to. Phew.

This may mean I may use Flickr to host my photos more often. I don't know.

I don't like the new interface right now (although I kind of prefer the photostream layout???) but in a couple of months or so, I'll probably wonder what the hell I was bitching about.

(Also P.S. some of the reactions to Yahoo taking over Tumblr are hilarious. Oh internets, never change).

Yeah I don't entirely hate the new Flickr, but it's not very pretty. I didn't really like the old Flickr too much either, but I still use it because so many other people do and Photobucket is just awful.

Oh god yeah, Photobucket. I hated it even when I used it regularly, but I deleted my account because it was under an old username, and I have no intention of going back, even if I'm desperate for hosting (which I won't be now, what with all that space on Flickr!)

I think Yahoo should've really thought about what they were doing before they did it, if you see what I mean? I'm sure the idea looks cool on paper, but I'm not so sure it works in real life - I find it counter-intuitive to some degree.
