no real truce with my fury
I'm learning two things this week:
1. Past me was a fool, and should've known better than to think single releases were what was representative of what was on the album.
2. I have more in common with Nicky Wire than I'm willing to admit*.

*I had a friend, about twenty years ago who, for reasons I've forgotten now, absolutely hated Nicky, and it rubbed off on me because I'm impressionable to some degree. Also Nicky does come out with some absolute shite sometimes. And so for twenty years, my reaction to anything he says is, "oh, stfu!" except it turns out we're more alike than I remembered. (I mean, aside from anything else, I am also capable of saying absolute shite on occasion). And. Like. I'm still into the Manics, but I haven't talked to that friend in over fifteen years.
